Critique my Bot/FF? Don't see any recent builds posted

Heya,

This is an alt, so not looking to spend a lot on purples or LOTG recharges. This is for PVE only, possibly TFs on occasion but mostly solo missions. Basically I have no experience IO'ing out a mastermind, so if I am doing something dumb in the build or if something could majorly be improved, let me know. Thanks in advance!

very quick glance:

Group fly is -ACC to everyone, including your human team mates...

The Soulbound proc is almost designed for assbot, i.e. every mob in a burn patch gives a chance to proc.

The Numina's proc in heal other will only have a chance to proc when you actually cast heal other, i.e. not worth it. That proc is best used in a passive power, i.e. fitness pool.

Group Fly is flavor/rp/awesomeness.

I can look into moving the souldbound proc, or just dropping it.

I didn't take fitness so needed the recovery procs especially so. Obviously they can't go into health so I put them in the heals I do have. Can drop them completely if you guys think its viable

If you have one already, I'm told it makes assbot even more awesome. As /FF you don't have tar pit/melt armor/whatever to help DPS so I'd go for it.

I've got a 50 bots/ff without stamina, and while running the leadership toggles the toon is only borderline viable. I've got a few wee +end and +recov bonuses, but I kinda lean on popping blues. That works when I'm killing stuff quickly and the insps are dropping like candy...

Most of my deaths go like this - I get in trouble and am spamming force bolt/web cocoon as mitigation, spamming heal other, then I run out of blue insps and detoggle. Now I'm in trouble without my big bubble, and usually get splattered.

I'd respec, but I'm having a ton of fun with my mid-30s bots/traps so I never seem to get around to it

I skipped Stamina on my Bots/FF, but I also went for a lot of +Rec in IO Sets. At +15% or so it's pretty viable. I never detoggle after I set-up, even spamming Force Bolt and Wide Area Web Grenade.I kinda question the need for so much +Def and the +HP and +Regen in the build you have, esp. with a /FF mastermind.. On a /FF MM, all you need is Bodyguard mode and if you have Scorpion Shield it's gravy.

Last time I checked Gift of the Ancients were cheap and you only need two for the +Rec. They go in +Def sets, which means all your bubbles.

In your medicine pool power, you can use Miracle which again aren't too expensive and also you only need two for the +Rec.

And in the Pet Sets Blood mandate will give you a +Rec again with only two. So you have lots of options and can frankenslot to get the bonuses you want.

While researching I found that apparently a FF mastermind is wise to slot for ranged defense bonuses, hence the 6-slot blood mandates and such. Perhaps that is only if you plan to PVP or something?

My goal is simply to get the most bang for my buck on this character without breaking the bank. Don't suppose I could get a link of a good sample build for a PVE based build for Robots/Forcefields? Thanks

Maybe, I don't actually know. I'm not really sure why you'd slot for ranged defense, maybe someone going for extreme tanker-mind builds.

Here's a cheap-o build that's similar to the one I use for teaming PVE. It seems to work well enough. Mostly it skips Stamina, and tries to make it up with +Recovery bonuses. And it tries to put out a boat load of Defense for teaming, while not ignoring the Robot's damage output or being completely crippled in other respects.

The Soulbound proc is almost designed for assbot, i.e. every mob in a burn patch gives a chance to proc.

The Numina's proc in heal other will only have a chance to proc when you actually cast heal other, i.e. not worth it. That proc is best used in a passive power, i.e. fitness pool.
Supremacy + Tactics will offset any issues with GFly, plus Bots get rocket boots, so it would be worth it anyway!

I'd Without a doubt take out the +Buildup proc in Protector Bots, especially due to their lack of damage. Put in a Sovereign Right +resistance instead

and FYI, the Numina's proc always fires. It's been proven on my /storm's O2 Boost, though I can't speak for any other procs.
