B/W line art semi shaded sketch of my blaster named Bandit on the Justice server.

A little history. I say this is a 20 year redo because I first drew this image in my senior year in high school, circa 1990 (showing my age >< ). Back then it was the first piece of artwork I had done that I was proud of, and furthermore, the art teacher liked it. I still have that piece stored away somewhere.

I drew it again in 2000 in one of my sketchbooks, but I wasnt really too fond how that one turned out.

Here it is another 10 years later in 2010, I have drawn it again, except this time I'm slightly modified the outfit to resemble the costume my Blaster wears in game.

As always comments, criticism, and flames are welcome.

Nice work! Better then I can do I normally cheat and trace a form from a comic then edit it to match my character.

Constructive criticism thought. Her head and body look fine but the legs seem short for the proportions Might be me I always have trouble on proportions. Her body is appears longer then her right leg. She also looks to have a sports bra on because her breasts looked squished.

Her left leg looks okay, but if you look to where her knee is on her right leg it's well below where the white in the pants comes in. Her right leg though it's in the foreground, is also smaller then her left.

I do love the fold in her clothing, especially the top and the belt. I look forward to seeing more Braxx.

I say bring the top of her forward thigh out. Thicker. It's fantastic though. Very 80's, very sexy, and very good. You have all rights to be proud of this.

It's not superhero anatomy, it's photo anatomy, which is optical and spatial. Realism is based on reality, and the reality of it is she's short. She doesn't have an artistic 8 head count body, or 10 count superhero one, I forget the actual number. I tend to draw people with large long legs, I prefer that, it's my aesthetic.

But a realist, painter or comic artist of that school, say like Greg Horn will stick to the figure as is, and focus on expression. I think it has a lot of merit, and would probably crop it at the knees to imply she is taller. You do has some skillz bruddah, keep posting!

In regards to "legs", my style has changed somewhat over the years. When drawing in the comics vein, I used to draw characters with long legs. But in recent years, when I compare the work I do now to work I did back in college and just afterwards, I can tell that I've gotten more accustomed to drawing characters with legs slightly shorter.
