Wow, that's tough to read. I'm at work ATM so can't open mids but at a glance this is what I'd change:

- Indomitable will is prob overslotted, I'd just stick the defense unique and end redux in there and call it good.

- Mind link needs to be adjusted, no reason for 4 membranes in there. Stick with 3, not sure what the additional IOs are doing in there as can't veiw the bonuses... but you could prob drop them as I see you also are taking TT:leadership.

- You have a ton of attacks in there, I'd drop swipe and replace it with strike in that slot. I'd move lunge and slash waaaay down the list to 12 and 18 where they become available (they are your heavy hitters), also I'd pick either spin or eviscerate but not both.

I notice everyone builds for reacharge with mindlink as a goal. If you can soft cap def without it, is it really needed?

Mind Link is one of the reasons to play a Fortunata/Night Widow on teams. It's a good defense buff, tohit buff, and psi resist buff for your entire team, and it's easily made perma (on a Night Widow at least) with a bit of recharge and some creative slotting. A VEAT skipping Mind Link (or even TT:M) is akin to a Kin skipping Speed Boost, or an Emp skipping Fortitude, and so on.

It isn't really needed, but there is no justifiable reason for skipping it. I did not build my Fortunata or Night Widow with having perma-Mind Link as the main goal. Each of my characters has capped melee and ranged defense without Mind Link being used and with suppression included in Mask Presence. As Mac stated, you can make Mind Link perma on a Night Widow very easy and only slight less easy on a Fortunata, but very close.

To give you an idea of how easy it is on a Night Widow, I did not take Hasten on my NW and Mind Link overlaps by 3 seconds meaning I have it stacked for a moment when I do use it.

Ok, I see your point, Tweaked it a little. Soft capped without Mindlink on, an OK attack attack chain, a PBAOE, and a ranged set for the times I want to shoot instead of hit. 3 tacticals, and it fits the flavor of the toon.

Without loading the build into Mid's I would suggest dropping the Leadership power and taking either Maneuvers or Assault from the Leadership pool so you can add more +damage or +defense if you need it.

If your positional defenses are capped then your next focus should be on damage rather than adding to-hit through TT:L.
