I've been running with Force Fields and they are working quite well. Demons have decent resists so stacking shields on them really helps. They are pretty safe, though i'm abit squishy, with bodyguard that's easily fixed.
The only real drawback is that there's not much else there besides defense. So no -regen, or debuffs of any kind. That will slow you down on EB/AV's but not too much as if you don't get hit, don't die, then you can still mow things down quickly.
Demons/Dark Miasma is a solid solo combo. You have everything you need (debuffs, control, aoe heal) in on package. Works with Demons quite while. There's really no hole in the combo at all.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
I suggest /Storm.
You open with Rain (debuff and knock down) and Snow storm (super slow and -recharge)
Use ranged pets. (Bots I think is best)
Throw a Lightning Storm up. (adds stun and knock back +damage)
Have o2 boost fully slotted for healing and recharge. Its a great single target heal because it recharges fast.
Tornado for when things get harry. Or fighting an Elite boss/ AV that wont get knocked back. Dont underestimate a fully sloted Gale for keeping stuff off of your bots.

I'm using /dark for them. Was going to use /thermal but the constant buffing annoyed me. (2 or more 4 minute buffs on 6 pets will slow you down in a big way)
in the end, you will have a toon that wont have its pets buchered, because the mobs will be tossed around/slowed/debuffed. The bots have a healer too. and you dont even need the 'repair droid' power. O2boost is fast.
i have an almost lvl 24 demon/trap right now and its working out really nice, once i get force field generator then i will have much easier time, my demons dont usually have survival issues because the ember demon is a pretty good healer
Well, first I just want to say I know that Masterminds in general can pretty much easily solo +0/+1 +8 very easily, but I want to find out who can do it faster and easier I suppose.
For example, my thugs/dark can still get owned by +3-4 +8 Longbow, but my Bots/Traps has a ton less trouble (I suppose all because of Poison Trap?)
Since Demons have been out a few days now, what is the take from people on soloing? I just made a new DS/Traps to test since I know how well my Bots/Traps can solo. Is it still safe to assume that /traps would be the best or one of the best for solo?
I just can't imagine that thermal as thematic as it might be would be as good solo versus /traps or /dark (the mez prot in /traps is also incredible imo)
