Phone Booth Costume Change
Actually that last part would be cool. Phone Booth POOFs into existence next to you, you step in and come out in new costume.
The title pretty much says it all. Phone booths would be set up on every street(block?) in every zone. Design will change based on zone theme. Example, Boomtowns might destroyed. Clicking on the phone booth makes the door open and the character is inside. The costume change window pops up.
Yes, it's a little pointless and is probably more work than it's worth, but it's a nod to the real super hero world. Plus this game needs a little more humor. Possibly later add in other changing areas, buildings, elevators, etc. Another solution is making it an emote where a phone booth drops over you and you change. |

Interesting suggestion but I tend to agree that a phone booth costume change is a bit too specific. What I would like to see them use is something like the alternate Foot Stomp animation where your character punches the ground with the addition of a small explosion of light just before the costume switch.
Oooo! Or even a simple finger snapping animation.

While I agree that phone booths are probably a no-go, clickable doors/objects that automatically pop up the costume change window, then when you choose your new costume have you go in and come back out in whichever costume you change to, would be pretty cool. Here's some plausible ideas for places a hero (or villain) could change:
-Public bathrooms, like we see in SG bases and Pocket D
-Parked cars and trucks
-Random outside doors, manholes, etc that don't currently have a mission on them
-Dumpsters
-Port-a-johns (do we have these? I can't remember)
Doubtless, there are even more options that I haven't thought of, but the point is that it doesn't have to be a phone booth at all.
I like this, i was trying to think of other things to use but i figured that the emote would work best but unrealistic, adding more things to use widens space that can have these costume changers. After all, you can only have so many phone booths in one city.
This reminds me of another thread i had where it was alternate SG entrances, not so much the idea but clicking on normal objects to do something secret.
I think the only reason this -won't- happen is that it's probably a little too close of a nod for intellectual property reasons. It screams Superman after all. Ever wonder why we don't have a newspaper reporter/photographer Day Job badge?

That just seems a bit too extreme.
Friends don't let friends buy an ncsoft controlled project.
We already have a few costume change emotes that other characters/heroes use in other properties. I think I recall in the movie "the mask" that he once changed into his costume by spinning very quickly. And I know I've seen that in many many other cartoons and movies. So I doubt anyone officially owns or could claim a copyright on changing clothes or uniforms in a phonebooth.

It's not really about a copyright thing, it's more about the association. Superman was famous enough for changing in phone booths that the correlation is easy to see.

or a Photo both
or any other box like object.... heck add a few and make it random which one pops like how alakzam works now.
