Hello, i have a very very old fire/ice tank at lvl 34, i have a free respec im going to use because hes unplayable(never played him in 5 years) anyone care to come with a lvl 34 build using mostly SOs?
And with things like what powers to avoid, like bach then healing flames was terrible and now it looks is really amazing.

This build still leverages the Ice Patch/Burn synergy. Your shields are 4-slotted on the assumption that you'll use one end reduction and 3 resist SOs in each; Healing Flames gets 3 recharge / 3 heal.

If you decide to go with a few IOs, the priority would be two -knb IOs which would enable you to dump Acrobatics for another power pick, and then frankenslotting your attacks for best affordable enhancement values, and then frankenslotting Healing Flames to get some edn reduction without giving up any recharge or healing.

LOL you and me both. I have not played in about the same time and came back to my 38 fire/ice tanker.

Had to respec because it was terrible.


This is sort of what I am thinking I am going to go with. Unfortunately, I have zero clue about the set stuff and am just now trying to figure out what I want to get with that. Which may change the whole thing over again. However, with just SOs and basic IOs this has been working fine.

Consonants, you need read up on Enhancement Diversification and redo your planned slotting. Here's the long story:

but the short story is that there is no point to slotting more than 3 SOs of the same type in a power.

Also the tier 9 Ice power, Frozen Aura, has been buffed and is now definitely worth taking. Most experienced Ice melee players will recommend it over GIS.
