Fire/MM Build critique please!
Over 120+ views and no comments? I hope I didn't come off as pretentious regarding the influence thing. No offense meant. I saved it up and want to build a really good toon. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hmmm what are you planning on using this wee beastie on ?
Just from looking at it, it seems its meant for boss->av killing without insps. A pretty impressive build at that. Just browsing though without stamina you want more recharge in drain psyche. You also have plenty of plus accuracy and plus to hit, you really don't need an accurate heal set in there.
You can also lose the kismet +tohit if you want and 6 slot DP or 3 slot subdual seeing as it and flares are all you have when mezzed (Maybe put a proc in it)
If you can live with using a purple insp once a minute I'd lose the gladiators piece. That will pay for the rest of the build by itself and give you one more slot.
I made a few changes to your build and gave DS more recharge and regen

Both builds look strong, similar in many ways to my rad/mental pbaoe blapper. I understand going above the cap on S/L defense to account for defense debuffs, but frankly it's overkill the way you guys have done it here. When you kill as fast as a blapper like this can, and you regenerate over 100hp/sec with saturated DP, defense debuffs shouldn't worry you much.
The other thing I want to say is, the lack of Inferno makes me sad. One of the great strengths of a */mental PBAoE blapper is that if you hit enough foes with Drain Psyche, you can nuke, retoggle immediately and just keep spamming attacks. The +recovery in DP is just that powerful if you hit enough targets. I use the feature to devastating effect on a regular basis with Aim+BU > Atomic Blast > (retoggle quick) > Irradiate > PSW > Neutron Bomb, etc. Should be just as powerful with Inferno > PSW > Fire Ball etc.
But other than that, these builds look really good to me. Congratulations on (imo) getting */mental right. I can vouch for PBAoE blapping with softcapped S/L defense, contageous confusion and saturated Drain Psyche. It's just beastly amounts of damage and in most situations plenty of mitigation.
Awesome guys. Thanks so much for the input. I'll tweak this guy to incorporate your advice (as soon as they get the markets working again). I'll 6-slot DP for sure. I am playing the posted build now (except for the Gladiator Def unique - just another Def IO in there now, again with the markets). He can solo mobs pretty good at +2/8. Now with mobs wandering and spreading out more in i17 it is a little more difficult but the high ST damage helps. On teams, this guy is just hilarious. On to Mid's for some tweaking now. Thanks again. This was just the tweaking I needed.
I made a few more changes to the build I posted. I forgot that there is a bug with Mid's with Blasters and Controllers so I had to change a few things but I gave you more recovery and more recharge.

Mika Heartily- 50+1 Fire/MM blaster-Virtue
Mostly agreeing with the above: All of these builds are going to be beasts, but have a hard time with End. I think all of them are going a bit overboard with non-S/L Def, and it's an extremely expensive build to have such a big problem in it. Of course, you can chew blues all the time, but I'd suggest focusing on End in Drain Psyche if you're not going to get Stamina.
I mainly went for s/l defense and recharge. I figured to play this guy at blapper range. I know the build is expensive but I have the influence saved up. Thanks in advance for the input!
