SS/WP need a partner in crime...

basically what title says. friend is making SS/WP brute, and i was wondering if anyone knew a good combo. Well, really just wondering if there are any bad combos to stay away from.

Edit: oh and we will probably just sticking to ourselves, pve, the occasional sf, ect.

What style of character do you like to run?

Want to blast and occasionally throw a buff or two?
Want to Blast and DeBuff?
Want to fight side by side with your partner like twin engines of destruction?

The SS/WP Brute is fairly self-contained.

Brutes and corruptors go nicely together. Brutes and /kin corruptors go especially nicely. For a primary I'd pick something with some good AoE damage early on, since the SS/WP won't have any until 32. Archery/kin or fire/kin would be good choices.

I have a fire/traps corruptor that goes along with a ss/wp brute, they are NASTY together and it is beyond awesome. Traps takes a lot of getting used to for most players, but it's a fun, different secondary.

The only issue with a /traps corruptor and a brute is that if the corruptor is not careful, they can really slow the brute down and prevent building fury, or they get left behind, and aren't doing much to help out the brute. Traps is a good set, but it takes a good player to make the most of it, and that goes doubly when playing with a brute.

What I do is sneak ahead when the group is almost finished and drop my toe bombs just outside of the next group. Usually he's finished by the time I'm done, and we pull the new spawn back the couple of feet it takes for them to trigger the mines. Meanwhile, we're laying waste and then in a few seconds, I run forward to the next group again. Truly disgusting and awesome.
