Windows 7 issue

I just got a new PC with the Win 7 OS and downloaded CoH and it's taking over five minutes to load partially and then it boots me to the log in screen again. could it be a compatibility issue? I've got it running in windows Vista compatibility mode but it's still not running properly. HELP!

Yup, give us some specs and that CoH Helper too. You should have no need to run in any sort of compatiblity mode or other special stuff. CoH runs fine under Win 7. It's what I use.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

I'm having the same problem, not trying to threadjack but possibly I could get some help too? CoX is taking 2x as long to even get to the logon screen, I select a character and then wait at the loading screen, last time took 10-15 mins before I was booted back to the logon screen. Whole system drags, but CPU usage is only at 50-60% most of the time.

this is it but have no clue as to why it's not running correctly.

SkyRocker, please start your own thread rather than hijacking someone else's troubelshooting thread. It's less confusing for those trying to give help as well as those trying to get help.

Beast_Breaker, your drivers are extremely old and should be updated. Even though the 310 is a re-branded 210 (an entry level card) and not a Fermi based card, I don't see it listed anywhere in the supported cards section of any of the drivers.

It's also possible that there are other factors involved, so it would be helpful if you would post a log from running HiJackThis as well. since it will show us what else is running on your computer and may show us a conflicting program.

As Red Valkyrja and Back_Blast said, you should not have any OS Compatibility checked on the Compatibility tab. The only thing you want to check there is the Run As Administrator option.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Black Pebble is my new hero.

I'm going to have to agree with the responders on this board. I have a PC running Windows 7 as well. If I set it to Windows XP compatibility mode, or Windows Vista compatibility mode it takes seemingly forever to load any area. CoX runs just fine without compatibility mode, though.

Therefore, unless you're experiencing serious issues playing, don't use compatibility mode.
