Energy/?
Which secondary has good synergy with energy melee? I was thinking about WP, but is there anything that's more effective?

Other than that, I would base it on what direction you're going.
If you plan to solo and not dump much (or any) infamy into IOs, my first choice would honestly be Energy Aura. I'm sure that's not the popular pick, but it's good defense combined with a stealth and endurance-managing utilities make it a good candidate for SO solo builds.
If you want to play more tanky /Electric /WP and /Invul are your best bests, I think. The first is IMO the most SO friendly, while the later are probably better when IO'd.
/Fire /Electric and /Dark have damage auras, /Shield has charge, so any of those could help make up the lack of AoE in Energy if you're interested in that.
So yeah, I guess it depends. /WP is almost always a good choice though.

I play heroes on Champion.
I play villains on Virtue.
Energy/Shield is pretty fun. The only thing you have to manage is endurance. I slot all my attacks with 2 acc/2 end/1 rech and then if I have slots left I put damage in, although Energy Transfer only needs 1 end and 1 acc and Total Focus only needs 1 acc. I slot all my shields with 2 end/2 def or res and Grant Cover only needs 1 end because it's cost is already low. I don't worry too much about damage because of fury and Against All Odds. I only run out of end when soloing Archvillains/Heroes, but that's a given.
I have 50's of both EM/DA and EM/ElA. Without recipes, EM/DA was very rough endurance-wise. EM/ElA is pretty durable and can run nonstop because you have Energize (heal) and Power Sink (end +) - but you have to wait until 28 and 35 to get them. I also picked up Tough on my ElA - helped with survivability.
My Dark Armor Brute with recipes is just plain nasty but it did cost me. Whereas my EM/ElA Brute with recipes is better than not having them but not as powerful as my Dark Armor Brute.
