First mastermind so bear with me =)

I'm not sure what is going on but I cannot get emotes to work (either in binds or with slash)

/petsay_all <em dance>

When I hit this, I see in the exact text: <em dance>
in the global from my pets

Also how do I have my pet's display chat bubbles for example

/petsay_all <em dance> Yeah Party!

I don't know what &lt means and ; is not a separator in coh to do what you want is:
/petsayall <emote dance>
/petsayall <emote dance>$$petsayall Yeah Party!

Oh sorry the $lt is for bind files. Tried it like you said and it does work in game via slash command.

But I still can't get chat bubbles to appear for pets.

There used to be a setting that turned pet bubbles on and off but I can't find it now.

Aha with some searchfu I have found that /petsay speech bubbles were removed to stop griefing.
I have always had bubbles off so I don't know when this happened.

Link.

Note that that's a player saying that, not a dev.
Until I see a devpost stating that /petsay bubbles were turned off to prevent griefing and not just an unintentional sideeffect of the patch that prevented certain emote commands from crashing everyone around...I still have hope.

Pets can still do regular emotes and speak, they just don't get the speech bubbles.

I am not having a problem with my pets' chat bubbles. My zoms do the entire YMCA song. It's loads of fun and people seem to love it!

I also have them interact with each other just for a laugh.
