I have a 37 SS/WP brute. At this point I have just been IO slotting (regular IOs, lvl 25) because don't have that much inf on redside.

I'm still having a hell of a time soloing anything more than a group of 7-8 white/yellow mobs (even more difficult with a boss). I just get hit way too much and health bar plummets while I try to herd a group of 10 mobs which was easy with my fire/stone tanker.

Can a brute do viable soloing without IO Sets (especially while leveling up)? Anyone suggest a mid/low budget build for SS/WP? Think I can manage to come up with 200 mil or so to get started in farming.

Oh sorry the $lt is for bind files. Tried it like you said and it does work in game via slash command.

But I still can't get chat bubbles to appear for pets.

I'm not sure what is going on but I cannot get emotes to work (either in binds or with slash)

When I hit this, I see in the exact text: <em dance>
in the global from my pets

Also how do I have my pet's display chat bubbles for example

Is there anyway to keybind powertrays 4-9? I could only get powexec_alt2slot how about the other altslots?

I've been thinking of getting the costume and mission pack avaliable in the Mac Version Retail (and booster back). I found a pretty good price and was wondering...

(1) If I buy the retail version of these can I upgrade my existing account (already has COH collector, COV collector and Good vs Evil Pack) with the codes or do they work only with new accounts?

(2) If Yes to question 1, would I get the 30 day game play that would normally come with the game for new accounts even though I'm just upgrading? This is a deciding factor on whether I get the booster pack or the retail package.

(3) If Yes to question 2, can will the 30 day game play count towards a reactivation invite? Not really planning on using it just curious.

I decided to go with a SS/WP build and I'm loving it.

Much more fun than my fire aura/stone meele tanker. Can solo +2/+2 missions without much problems (pop a few greens though) at lvl 18. Can't wait till I can double stack Rage

I've come back after a 2+ years away and decided to go villains.
Starting fresh as a Villain and want to get a brute leveled up as fast as possible and be able to farm at the highest diff settings. starting at zero infamy

Having read a bunch of guides here, I'm thinking going with one of these:

1) Super Strength - Shield Defense
(a) read that it is the best farming brute (if built correctly) but may not be able to buy the pricy crafted sets till much later.

2) Electric Melee - Shield Defense
(a) Lighting Rod + Shield Charge looks like a fun combo, great animations too. But read SS does more damage with stacked rage + foot stomp.
(b) looks like a endurance drainer with downtime

3) Electric Melee - Electric Shield
Not as fun since I had a electric tanker but... Thinking about electric shield over shield because of the endurance recovery from powersink and heal from energize. Might be able to level up faster due to less downtime (and start farming).

If brute is not the best way to go (solo power level at cheap), what about mastermind robotics/dark?
Also have about 14 mil influence on freedom if someone wants to trade some for infamy on freedom or champion

My main goal is to level up quickly without constant endurance issues, solo bosses and groups of red/purple. I'm starting fresh so may not have enough infamy to buy crafted sets.
