And that was a very nice send off for Shawn Michaels last night. That's the way a wrestler, of his starpower, should leave the business.I remember watching the AWA back in high school and seeing this new tag team- The Midnight Rockers- Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty (sp?). So, I guess, I've watched Shawn, a.k.a. HBK, his whole carrer.

He's been around for an awfully long time. Truth be told, I think he should've retired years ago. I'm still surprised the Undertaker's still around. Alot of these guys should really just step down and see more of the new blood get their time to shine. It seems like it's just the same older guys headlining these shows and warring with the same older guys. Why did CM Punk lose to Mysterio? Mysterio's older news now. Seems counter-productive because Punk is a growing commodity.

Rey beat Punk because of thestoryline..It wouldn't be cool for Rey to have to join Punk's little group.
Undertaker still has draw power..A lot of the WWE's new young talent don't have that 'it' factor..A guy like Evan Bourne does...And I think thats the purpose of thier new show NXT. Give new young talent a chance to develop thier ring presence, with the help of veterans.

We'll see if the NXT show will make it; Kinda disappointing that ECW folded but they didn't have a big roster to make it work.
Few folks have the "it" factor anymore. It takes time and experimentation to figure things out. Look at Triple H...he started out with that silly Connecticut blueblood gimmick battling the likes of Duke Droese.

January..But he can't wrestle anymore..So the WM match vs Vince was bascally the entire Hart family beating up VInce in a no holds barred match. I thinkit was paybck/retribution for the whole ' vince screwed bret/bret screwed bret' thing for the last 12 years, and the fact that his brother, Owen, died in the ring because of a gimmick that Vince came up with. Bret, and the Hart family got thier closure, as far as that's concerned..If Bret continues to be involved it will probably be only in a managerial role for the Hart Dynasty.

Nothing against the Hart Family or Vince, but in watching the match it seems a bit weak that it was basically 15 minutes of ganging up on one guy. Honestly I don't see how that could've helped wrestling or either side's image. I'd rather see a real technical match between two mid-cards who could main event some day rather than what amounts to a pre-planned public humiliation-fest. You would think that Bret being put in the WWE hall of fame and playing a role in the company would be enough Closure really.
