Which enemy group has fewest ranged attackers?

I've been playing my elec brute alot, and with all his lovely AoEs, it's a pain when some mobs stay out of my range and plunk away. What would be the best mob-type to fight redside where I can expect the majority of enemies to close in?

Yes, there are techniques I can use to gather them up more, which I do, but I'm still curious regarding the above question. Longbow, for example, are a pain, as they all seem to be mainly ranged attackers (hence the name, duh).

All enemies have ranged attacks. I'd say Devouring Earth and Freakshow probably have the least amount of strength when it comes to ranged attacks.

Longbow, Carnies, and Thorns are mostly ranged.

DE and Freakshow are a bit more melee oriented.

Either way, I'd use your Taunt aura to herd them into a corner before unleashing EPIC AOES!

I'd have to say it's the Warriors. Alot of their mobs have a secondary ranged attack but they only use it once or twice before swamping you with melee.

I think the Warriors are supposed to work that way, but their AI is the most noticeably "off" of any group's to me. If you attack your standard three minion Warrior spawn, one or two will close in, while the remaining one or two stand back and plink you with crossbows. Even stranger, unlike "favor ranged" AI enemies, if you close in on the Warrior using the crossbow, he might switch to melee, but then another member of the spawn will run back two feet and start shooting his crossbow. I'd love to know what AI quirk causes this.

Battle Maiden's minions prefer melee, but I wouldn't count on them remaining weak farm mobs for BM runs much longer--I'm sure Castle is going to beef them into real warriors once Going Rogue retcons and updates the Praetorian factions. (I'm sure someone somewhere duplicated the BM farm on AE, lol. Would take about 1 minute.)

Cimerorans prefer to get up close and personal and hack at you with swords instead of chuck javelins at you, though, and they're real enemies.

Now the OP just has to go fight Battle Maiden's minions and Warriors on his Brute.

Good luck to you, sir.
