Hi Guys,

Am trying to create a build for my DM/Inv brute and found a build online and have modified it to use certain powers that I want. This is really my first one that I have attempted (previous ones my friends have done for me) therefore, please can someone with more knowledge into these matters have a look over my build and let me know of any changes that you would suggest making to the build.

Not bad, though I'd recommend a few changes.

CJ is very overslotted. It's base defense value is low and it uses almost no endurance. I'd suggest pulling two slots and adding one each to Invinc and Weave, since they are both slightly underslotted for defense and end reduction.

Move the Kismet +Acc to Tough Hide. It's a "proc 120" like the regen/recovery uniques, so putting it in a passive makes it effectively "perma".

Instead of the full Scirocco's set in Shadow Maul, I recommend 3 or 4 Eradication for the E/NE bonus. Add 2 Scirocco's (Dam/End, Acc/Dam/End) to fully slot the attack and get the 10% regen bonus.

Also consider swapping out the Gaussian's in Soul Drain for a sixth Obliteration, which gives a modest S/L defense bonus.

Similarly, if you can find a second slot for SJ, you can 2-slot with BotZ for a small, but useful, E/NE bonus.

If you check the "Sets and Bonuses" tab on your current build, you'll see that you're over the "rule of 5" for 10% regen bonuses and 1.13% HP bonuses, so some of those sets aren't doing much for you.

I've tweaked your build to get rid of the unused bonuses, and also shifted a slot to Tough Hide. (TH has a higher defense value than CJ, so it makes more sense to underslot CJ.) I removed the Efficacy Adaptors from Unstop since you weren't getting the bonus, and end mods in Unstop are unnecessary anyway. I put Imperv Armors in Unstop instead, for the recovery bonus, but common recharge IOs would be a good choice too. I also swapped the Aegis Psi/Status resist out for a Aegis with some defense enhancement; a 3% Psi resist bonus is completely useless without any other Psi resist to stack with.

Thanks again for your time Finduilas, I have learnt something new about mids now, didn't realise that the "Sets and Bonuses" window gave that information, will surely help me with future builds.

I shall look forwards to playing this char (once I get all the money to buy the enhancements )

Drop tough and weave, you really don't need them. And stick with crushing impact they have the recharge and more recharge=more damage. Also take mu lightning, it fills up your attack chain nicely.

Drop Shadow maul. Trust me.

It seems like there could be a lot better high end builds. Anybody got some thoughts to how to make this thing pick up and scream with a few billion thrown at it?
