Anybody fancy a friendly football [soccer to american readers] bet ingame? By the time the season comes to an end we'll be able to e-mail influence to the winner.

So anybody interested in predicting the winner this season? Friendly bet so if you join you have to be willing to give 10 million to the winner [if more than one predicts the same team, then shared out accordingly]

To give a hand to people, the ONLY three teams that will win the Premiership this season are Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Even though im a united supporter my 10 million is on Arsenal.

@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!

That made me chuckle, I hope Mowbray doesn't play this game..

I'll put down 10million on Manchester Utd to win.

Really not fussed about anything higher than Championship right now.

...although I do want to know why everyone in Devon, Delhi, Denver, Dublin and all the other MUFC hangouts is suddenly supporting my beloved Norwich City? *blink*

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

The power of Delia? She is having a bit of a revival at the mo (or was just before Xmas anyway).
I'll wager 500 Quatloos on the wig-and-corset wearing space captain from the stars to win your Earth Tournament Damz.
(in reality I'm off Sport again after watching Scotland bring Ireland crashing back down to ground at the weekend)

I thought Ashley Cole only did that on weekends?

...see what I'm sayin'?

Oh absolutely. Well deserved and overdue (by a week or so ).
* Still a wrench though given that it was our last match in Croke Park (you've no idea what an immensely big deal it was over here for us that the GAA to open Croke Park to the Rugby and Football for the last 3 years given it's long standing stance against foreign sports).

Hmm, any guesses where Fury comes from?

I still don't understand how we managed to beat Ireland yet only draw with England and LOSE to italy!

Oh well, at least we didnt end up with the wooden spoon, I don't think we would have deserved that.

Ah, the joys of rugby. You did deserve to beat England too IMO.
Schooling the Welsh in Croker and getting revenge for 2008 was probably the highlight of this year for me (sorry Damz).

I do agree Carni' that losing on the last match at Croke Park was quite saddening, it's a grand stadium in my opinion. I've watched some scary Irish Anthems there, seriously a tingle down my spine is an understatement.

We were really sloppy at the beginning of the Six Nations, so many unforced errors and turnovers lost. The glimmer of light was the Irish game, although I found it rather ironic that when our man of the match got interviewed, as my mother said:

"He's ozzie!"

never understood the attraction of kicking an inflated pig's bladder around in the rain for 90 minutes when you can sit in the sun, drinking beer while listening to the sound of leather on willow

Then after that you can go and watch cricket

I couldn't care less about the 1st division (as I still call it) I'm watching the 3rd division in hopes that Norwich beats Leeds this weekend

But more interested in the Cricket test matches
