when was the last time you updated drivers, did a disc clean up and defrag?
probably not since i purchased the computer a year ago, its a hp pavilion dv4
i suggest doing so. it will make a big difference.
how would i go about doing this
click on start, or the windows emblem in the bottom left of your screen. go to all programs, then to accessories then to system tools. from there you can do a disc clean up and a defrag after that is done. then you need to find out who manufactured the video card chip set and download the newest drivers from their site. and update your operating system also if it hasn't been doing it by itself.

Try using the "Verify All Files" button on the launcher.

It's possible you have an antivirus program that is detecting that the CoH client has changed (due to the update) and is blocking the client when it tries to communicate with the login server. The popup asking you if you want to allow the changed program to access the internet can get 'hidden' behind the game in full screen mode.
I would've expected this to have occurred before in a year of play though..

i havent played coh in about a week, and when i tried i downloaded the new patch, everything was running normally until i got to the log-in screen, i typed in my password and then....it was frozen. I waited for about 10 mminutes and nothing. My account is active and i have played coh on the same laptop for almost a year now, i dont understand what the problem is and i would love to get some help =)
