If I were you, I'd just run radio/safeguard missions in PI. Tone up the difficulty after every mission you don't have a problem with.
Go up to +0/x3 for starters. If that's easy, try +1/x2. If you can do that, go up again to +1/x3.
If you seem better at large groups, add more people. If you seem better at small groups of tough enemies, go up in level, but keep the number of people small.

Patrol XP won't matter for 2xp other than paying off debt if you die.
If there is a particular level you felt your character excelled at or a particular story arc you could run it in Ouroboros because we now get xp when exemplared. If you were feeling particularly silly you could join sewer teams in Atlas to 50 for that matter. The only downside is you won't get high level recipe/salvage drops.

thanks all for the input, would close the thread if i had the know-how or the means. with the help of another player i ended up grinding a few "save the warrior clan" something-or-others and had it done in an hour. was not expecting that. Regardless, thanks for the replies and i'll put that knowledge to use on future characters. (heroes have always been my weak point 
)
so i came back recently with the idea my girlfriend would join me in play, and with the double exp going on and the changes with the difficulty system i'm a little perplexed. i've got a 47 Martial/regen scrapper i want to hit 50 with to get myself a squid. sure, april's a month away, but april's a month away. assuming my enhancements are well placed and well built, ive plenty of patrol exp, and a desire to get it done; whats the best way i can manage these levels, via missions/difficulty settings?
any positive feedback would be much appreciated.
