AR/Traps help please
I've actually been working on a Traps/AR defender build, I'll post it later and we can compare.
Some general comments:
1. If you want to go with Decimation in Burst for the Recharge then you might want to leave out the Thunderstrike and save a slot. You lose a bit of damage but you probably won't notice it. The same goes for the Devastation/Thunderstrike mix you have in Slug except that Devastation is (IMHO) a poor set for Blasters/Defenders/Corruptors, I'd copy the slotting you have in Burst (with or without the Thunderstrike). I was going to say put Thunderstikes in both but I forgot Corruptors get Scorpion Shield .
2. I'd replace the Dam/Rech in Flamethrower and Full Auto with a generic Recharge. Positron's Blast is overslotted for damage. In ignit I'd just remove that slot entirely, you only really need ti for killing bosses and I find the base recharge from Posi is enough.
3. Personally I'd try and work Buckshot into the build, AR's strength is AoE mayhem and leaving it out lower's your potential (the same goes for M30 but I'd consider that less essential).
4. More than 2 endurance IO's in Assault is a waste the third one saves you about 0.01end/sec. Personally I only put one in the Leadership toggles since the second one only saves about 0.06end/sec.
5. I find the fear effect from caltrops limits the usefulness of procs in it. On the other hand recharge and/or a slow are always useful
6. Scorpion shield is way overslotted, you can easily remove one of the Defense/Endurances
Overall I would say you are focusing to much on set bonuses. You might want to consider frankenslotting some more powers in order to free up some slots. The nice thing about Traps is that it lends itself well to this. Also take a look at HOs. I'm less familiar with the redside market but blueside some HOs are pretty cheap and have useful combinations not easily available through IOs (the Defense Debuff/Accuracy and the Damage/Accuracy are normally quite cheap).
Here's my build. I've got a different focus from you, I went for positional defense since Defenders don't have a Defense shield in their epics but it might give you some ideas. It's not finished, I'm still optimizing it .

Thank you so much for your help. Your build gave me a few ideas and a lot of slots to save. I did make a few changes like, i went for buckshot, i decided not to 6 slot ignite, buckshot, flamethrower and full auto cause it doesn't really need the last recharge anyway since i have a lot of recharge in the build now.
I managed to get soft capped defense to S/L which should be good enough and the reason i went for devastation in slug this time again is because i had taken the 6.25% recharge bonus too many times so wouldn't get any more recharge from decimation and i like the +dam from devastation, and i also got some +rec from thunderstrike there too.
The reason i went for that slotting in acid mortar was cause i wanted around 60-ish% acc, capped recharge and the hold and -res procs in it. I'm thinking about slotting the hold proc into seeker drones instead of the chance for +tohit proc seeing as the last set bonus for the aoe isn't that needed and it's always nice to stack some more holds, however, it might not be needed seeing as i have the hold proc in acid mortar as well as poison trap. Siphon insight might not be the best set ever for seeker drones but i simply took it to get capped def for S/L.
I kinda prefer the slotting in my poison trap over yours simply because i get 4 good set bonuses as well as the hold proc in it. I know i slot a lot for set bonuses but i quite like it. FF Gen might be a bit over slotted, but don't really know what else to put the slots in now.
I took the +stealth IO in super speed simply because my friends trap defender uses the stealth and he's doing great when he can run into the mobs and start placing traps before they start hitting him, as well as being able to stealth isn't too bad.
The last power was simply between hibernate and CJ, i went for CJ to place a lotg: +rech in it and it's a bit more defense, even though hibernate might be a bit more useful when i'm close to dead.
I hope you like what i came up with now, please point out any mistakes i made when you see them.

Glad it helped, I think I may end up stealing your idea of slotting chance to hold procs in Acid Mortar and Seeker Drones. It's not something I'd consdiered before but it makes a lot of sense. I tend to use Seekers as my Alpha strike anyway and Acid Mortar does hit quite a few people over the length of an engagement so it does make a lot of sense.
Thanks again for your help and if you make another build please post it, the build i made isn't final and i dunno if i will make any changes but i might make small ones. Is it possible to have 3 acid mortars btw, in case i get buffed by SB or anything similar. Or is the limit two?
It's possible to have 3 out. My current build has 2 out permanently and a 3rd out briefly.

I need some help with an AR/Traps build. I've been thinking about going for a lot of defense, a lot of recharge, or a bit of both. Maybe someone has an idea of which one that would be the best to go for. I'd like to be able to solo AV's but not sure if AR is a good set for that, maybe ignite sounds better in my head than it actually is. I've made two builds but i think that both of them misses something, i'm not very experienced with either of the sets, or with corr's for that matter. I've always been more of melee fighter. Towards later levels in the builds i actually ran out of slots/didn't know what to take, and even if i had somethig to take i didn't have any slots to slot it with. All help appreciated.
