For the record, you don't necessarily need to pick the 'easiest' sets for your first character. Willpower and Regen are simple, but any other set is perfectly viable. And Dual Blades has a combo system that makes it slightly more complex than other sets, but it shouldn't be hard to learn.

My first character was a Mastermind- one of the most complex ATs in the game, but very powerful when used properly. After that, everyone else seems easy.

Although the ones I probably wouldn't reccomend to newbies are Defenders, Corruptors and Controllers, which generally require a team to get the most out of their powers, and teaming is another set of player skills altogether.
