Advice for a new system

Father Xmas

I'd like to get some advice from the 'experts' that frequent this forum. I'm looking to get a new PC on a budget and I've been looking at various outlets...and I believe I'll be purchasing from Newegg.com due to previous experience and comfort with their process.

I must admit, I know a bit about PC's, but not enough to feel comfortable relying on my own knowledge. I'm wondering if some of you could recommend a good budget system from Newegg that would fall into the $600 - $800 range? There just seem to be so many to choose from, but my only real requirement is that it fall in this budget range and that it have a setup that I can upgrade over time.

Thanks!

I know it's a toward the high end of your budget but this model is a pretty capable system off the bat, and has plenty of upgrade potential to spare as your budget will allow in the future. The graphics card is decent, not quite ready for Ultra Mode, but will still handle the game rather well, and with 4G RAM you won't be slowed down much. As cash flow improves, another 4G and GPU upgrade will have you on the front lines destroying the most beautifully rendered baddies possible.

On a side note, I hope you already have a monitor.

I did a quite filter at NewEgg and got this list. I simply filtered for systems less than $800 that have a video card capable of some level of Ultra Mode.
