Ninja Run-Swift, Hurdle?

Sorry for being a pest... I just got Ninja Run and was wondering which is better paired with an SR toon ( I made an MA/SR just for fun... ) ..swift or hurdle? I'll be getting Combat Jumping.. was hoping to not have to get Super Jump, and I'm really not a good Super Speeder. :P Also... will I "need" SJ for the AOE set bonus?

Edit: I have CJ, and I see now that you can't use CJ and NR at the same time! :/

It's a matter of preference really. Personally, I prefer Hurdle because it make Combat Jumping even better for navigating while in combat, but Swift works out just as well.

As to whether you should take SJ or SS with Ninja Run... It depends. The BotZ set can be slotted into CJ if that's all you really want it for, so there's no real need to take SS or SJ for that reason (unless you need/want to slot more than one set). It really all depends upon your build and your preferences.

i can't stand any jumping character without hurdle. the difference is too noticable.

I'm sure this has been discussed in various threads at the time that Ninja Run came out, but I believe Ninja Run + Hurdle is faster than Fly, plus the extra vertical allows you to go over obstacles.

I almost always take Hurdle. The main exceptions are some of my fliers and my Stone Tanks, who need Swift.

you know, I've never used Hurdle... I've always gone with Swift.. so I'm excited to try it!!

yeah..I'm seeing how much greater bunny hopping is now with Hurdle! I've always bunny-hopped. lol w00h00!!!

I currently have Hurdle on a TA/a defender and I don't have Health, or Stamina and it's level 23. I have no real desire to add in the rest of the powers at this time. I'll switch Hurdle around to be a later pick, but you get the idea.

I generally go with hurdle, unless I chose hover or flight for a travel power and then swift will speed those up. Since the release of ninja run, I actually respecced out of travel powers all together on a couple toons and saved myself a couple power picks.

Something else to keep in mind, there are some IO's out there that will increase run speed, and you can also go for the commuter day job by logging off in a train station and that will also get you even more run speed. Ninja run + sprint + the speed boost you get from one of the safeguard missions + speed from IO's is quite fast. Throw in hurdle for some vertical love and a jetpack for those needed flights, plus a good half dozen free teleport powers from various places and you're set.
