What have they done to Ignite?

I haven't played in a while, coming back to play. I was working on my AR/Dev and discovered that Ignite is a monster! I could just sometimes spam Ignite and watch the mobs wither.

I think they changed Ignite ..... not sure what they did. Is is still as monster as it used to be?

They've made the Corruptor version better as it does the same damage, but can Scourge

AR got buffed a while back - animation times on Buckshot, Sniper Rifle, Flamethrower, and Full Auto got reduced, and Flamethrower's damage got more frontloaded (faster DoT compared to before). However, they did increase Ignite's recharge time to 20 seconds (think it was 4 seconds before).

You are correct. It used to be "if you immobilize this guy, I win."

Yea, I sort of miss the days when my "solo play" tray consisted of webnade, beanbag, ignite, and nothing else.

My AR/Ice blaster was created with the sole intention of abusing the hell out of Ignite + Ice Patch. His sole purpose was to throw as much napalm as humanly possible. Even though the AR tweak messed with a large portion of that AV-melting joy, AR is noticeably stronger overall after the patch, so I accept it. Ignite is still as damaging as it ever was, it just isn't mindblowingly spammable once they get immobilized.

Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.
