is boards.cityofheros.com a part of coh (heroes without the E)

Was browsing the boards and noticed I was in boards.cityofheros.com instead of boards.cityofheroes.com and couldnt log in to post a question.

Is that site legit? Why the different spelling?

Yah I did a whois on cityofheros.com and it is registered to ncsoft and the dns goes through ncaustin.com.

You probably can't log in because they want you to go to the right domain, and the web forum software probably has a single domain license or somesuch.

NC owns it because it would be a perfect place to phish or redirect to competitors or sell adwords.

Whew. Yea, got worried there for a bit. It's late and i'm like ok did I click on a link i shouldn't have. I just did a check and both have the same IP also. I can log into heroes fine. Must be like you said, they have that heros site so phishing isn't as easy.
