Thank you DD! I've been challenging myself alot with these drawings. As for the barrel, well that was an over sight. I come from a family of coopers, so I know that the hole should have been darkened. But meh, no biggie. As for the coloring, I want to color it really bad, except that if I mess it up, it is ruined for good. No going back...no fixing it. I don't have photoshop, so if I colorized anything, I use water colors, which I am not very good at. So I am not sure if I want to risk it....yet.

) print it and colour that instead?
Then you can still keep the original as it is.

Also you don't need Photoshop to color. DD is using Paint Shop Pro, Henri uses GIMP (which is completely free) and there are several other low cost or completely free programs (paint.net is another) to digitally color stuff with.
If you must have an Adobe product you don't really need the latest CS5 as most people will never use even half of what that program can do (and it costs over $700 retail), grab their "lite" version of photoshop (which is called Elements). It has all the basic tools you could ever want and the ability to import more stuff into it down the road.
I built a computer for a woman recently who wanted to try out some arts/crafts and photo correction. I found her a used copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements for $20.
So yeah, colorz nao!

It has been a while since I have posted anything in my Vintage ArtzZz thread! I have been watching Isikol ( http://isikol.deviantart.com/ ) from dA for a while now and decided to have him give Touche' a shot.
This is what he came up with....
He did an absolute fantastic job!! I totally love it too! (I added the frame so that it would fit in my gallery).

Hey Folks! Here is my latest piece that I completed yesterday. I am not sure which finish is the better one, so I am posting both.
I may also need to find a different hosting site for my artz. The one that I am currently using always over pixelates the image and does weird stuff with the shading.

The side spot light is neat but it's only topical (i.e. the light doesn't affect the shading in the piece itself) so it's
more of a distraction. Might be cool if you drew something specifically to match up with it though.
