To Make */Nin Foes Or Not To Make */Nin Foes...

...that is the question.

I'm working on an arc containing an enemy group that will probably all have Ninjitsu for their second power set, because "popping up out of nowhere" fits their theme and the story. I do intend to drop a warning about it on the arc description too so it won't come as that unexpected a surprise. Anyone with any kind of +perception will see them as well.

I'm wondering how that might go over with the player base though. Also, what level range do you think such an arc should be set for? I'm guessing maybe 25+?

Any thoughts?

I can't recall the name of the mission right off hand, but I did play a mission where all the mobs either had the Ninjas Mastermind power, the Ninjitsu secondary power or both. Literally, it was "for every Ninja you see, there are two Ninja you don't see". (Except it was more like "eight ninja you don't see".

Personally, I would put a warning in there. Like "watch the shadows".

The one I recall was something like "Have you ever seen a Ninja?" with text that posed the question, if you actually saw the ninja, it must not be a ninja since you saw it and lived!

I liked it, but I played it with my stalker to even the odds.

It could prove to be quite interesting, just drop a warning. Something else to keep in mind on the other side of things is that some sets may have enough perception to see your enemies regardless.

I think it should be fine, especially as now the Hide attack bonus doesn't last until the critter is destroyed (!).

If it proves too easy (!) then I'd suggest chucking in some Night Widows too for that added -Per challenge.

Or some Spectral Knights...

Actually ignore that, Spectral Knights are just plain evil.
