RP Project: Anyone interested?

So, I resubscribed to CoH, (boo, hiss, cheer, joy, whatever is appropriate) and have played the game some for the past 2-3 days. It's pretty much the same I left it, except I can color powers now. :P

One of the reasons CoH always had appeal to me was from the RP angle, and while I wasn't ever really deep in any serious RP, the RP was what kept me here. I know if I intend to stick around, I'd need to find some form of RP to keep the interest level up, and Im not sure just semi-casual conversational RP would work.

So, what Im thinking about doing is this. Using the Mission Architect to set up "modules/sessions/whatever" to kind of string along some form of RP plot. Of course, to do so, would need some form of participants, so that would be the reason behind this post.

Ideally, it'd be nice to have one redside "Villain" group, and one Blueside "Hero" group to play off of each others actions, without there being much in the way of direct conflict. Groups could be up to 7 members, (Id tag along as some form of NPC or DM/voiceover person) for each side.

Now, this wouldn't just be random mission bopping, this would involve some set up work either IG or on forums regarding the events leading to the "mission" so to speak, and with working with a group of players, some habits/abilities/skills that couldn't be represented by game mechanics could be used if there's a person overseeing the plot. Basically, it would be an attempt at running something similar to your regular Pen and Paper session, with preset encounters and a dice roll system, but also some form of oversight with the spaces being filled in by a writer/gamemaster.

The missions themselves would likely be run on Saturday or Sunday, but if neccessary, time could be worked out for evening games after 9-10pm EST on other days.

I'd -attempt- to make the missions as "Drop In, Drop Out" friendly as possible, without tailoring events to a specific character that are a crucial plot point, only for them to not show up. However, the characters that did want to participate on a regular basis would not be ignored either.

This is something I've wanted to do with friends in the past, but getting everyone on the same page was always a problem, Im beginning to think if I do something Random PUGlike almost, but set with a particular time frame, it would be something that could be seen through to an end.

Basically, If you're interested, just reply with this section below quoted and filled out, or pm me with the information, and then any other questions you may have listed afterwards, or if you just have questions, don't fill anything out.

(Self Explanatory Part)
Character Name:
Origin:
AT:
Primary Powerset:
Secondary Powerset:
Travel Power, if any:
Best times available for play:

(The RP addons)
Character Skills: (Is your character a doctor, a detective, a scientist, a street thug, etc. How would your character cope between the zomg fight parts of missions, and what could they bring that would be useful?)
Character Strengths: (Is the character different than what his powerset might imply? IE, is he MA/Inv, but he's actually Superstrength in your opinion, and you just hate tankers? Is he primarily a speedster and you picked the powers that would fit that? Is he a cyborg, or does he have an armor that would need to be worn?)
Character Weakness: At least -2- required. (This could be anything from an allergy to unobtanium to being a boozehound. Maybe a carefully hid Secret ID, to protect loved family members. Essentially, any fundamental character flaw that might be plot relevant at some point.)
Consequences: Heavy or Light. (This is basically so there can be a functional agreement between the DM and players on what's an acceptable "action". Are you all for consequences, as long as they make sense, or would you prefer the consequences be kept light enough that they wouldn't impact your play time elsewhere.)
General Character Description: (Image and appearance, anything you just want to volunteer.)

Final points. The plot line will be a mystery of sorts, with some crimes committed by the red side team linking into an overall plot that the blueside may proactively try to stop.

The plot will be modern, current time in nature, there will be no time travel escapades, and it will also be low to non-existent magic level. This doesnt mean time travelling characters or magic characters can't participate, just don't expect the plot to focus on either of those two ideas.

Also, what Im promising in return if you sign up.

1. Ill listen to your feedback carefully, and will never stick the plot on severe rails, your actions be damned, unless it's at a point where that's just a requirement.
2. Ill not damage or imply damage to your characters and be upset if you dont play along. The idea is that the characters may have a few bumps and scratches, and a few stories to share, but no one should wind up -broken- as a result, unless they've decided that it's appropriate themselves.
3. Ill make myself available, if not in game, at least on forums, or email/IM. If something happens that may cause the plot to derail, I won't leave your characters hanging, worst case scenario, I'd give you the info to finish as you saw fit.
4. I wont force you to PVP. While I am of the opinion that PVP can be a great RP tool, Im not going to force it on anyone or punish anyone for not doing so.

So, anyone interested? The first set of missions should be robbery themed redside missions, sometime this weekend probably. I may just randomly recruit people in game, but if anyone signs up here and wants to take part, please post.
