Stuck on downloading file manifest

.....I left the updater running all last night but it was stuck on music pigg files and it looked like it didnt move at all when I woke up. So I uninstall and reinstall from the website and now its stuck at downloading file manifest. No timer or anything.

Should I just wait like another 24 hours for it to do something or what? 0.o

Maybe a bit more detail is in order. What are you doing, why are you doing it and maybe a CoH Helper would be of use.

So you bought a new hard drive....and then what did you do? Your best bet is to explain what it is exactly you were trying. You're kind of only giving bits and pieces. Did you copy the CoH folder to the new hard drive and attempt to just run it? Did you run the install and tell it to install to the new hard drive? That CoH Helper would be wonderful as well. We can't help you if you're just going to say "Won't work, help."

I just downloaded it off the website. Now its still doing the download file manifest and just 10 seconds ago switched to pigg files again....which will take 256 hours???

if you have the disc for the game, or have a family/friend who lives close and has one you can use, use it. it is not a 1 time use disc. do not put in the activation code again though. all you have to do is tell it you have an account already.

reason for suggesting this is that i have never been able to download from the website and have anything work.

I do not have my disks anymore, actually. So I must resort to downloading it offline. Which is fine, since it did work many times before. But right now.....right now...

I've waited almost 48 hours just for it to update/freakin' play the game!
It was a good idea not to put my time card on my account being as though I could not play the game right now. ...Seriously, wtf? This has happened before but it only lasted over the course of 1 night.

so instead of waiting, stop the download and get rid of anything that has downloaded to this point and try again. it should have only taken about 3 hrs or less to download and be playable. you aren't trying to download anything else at the same time are you? or maybe have your virus protection on while downloading? anyways before you start the download again, do a disc clean up and defrag first.

Have you shut your computer completely down since this issue started?
Are you running the same virus checker that you were using before?
Is the firewall blocking any processes or parents associated with CoH or the Coh Updater?
