Do invention set bonuses affect pets or just the MM?

If I pick accuracy bonuses in invention sets, will the henchmen become more accurate too?

Set bonuses affect only the MM

Certain special effects, mainly proc and proc 120, affect the pets.

Such as the resist aura buff (from the pet sets), the chance for build up, the -resist proc on attacks and similar

Follow up question:

My Robot pets can take Knockback sets. One of the knockback sets (I forget which) has a "20% chance at smashing damage" enhancement.

If I equip that to the pet's power, will each of their knockback powers (or all powers?) have a 20% chance of doing the extra damage?

Further question: One of the knockback sets has a "10% chance of getting +100% recharge to all powers" enhancement.

If I equip that enhancement onto my pet power, would they benefit from it. I.e. Would every attack they use (or only knockback attacks) have a 10% chance of them gaining a +100% recovery bonus?

Thanks a ton in advance

The procs in the knockback set will only work on pet powers with a KB component. Someone else will correct me no doubt but I think the T1 pets have 2 KB attacks, the T2 pets 1 and the T3 pet 1. The none KB attacks won't benefit from the proc.

Having said that it is still a good proc to use, but only once you have maxed the acc/dam and taken care of their defences through the pet uniques.

The chance for +100% recharge proc is junk, despite it sounding great. It would have a chance to proc on every power with a KB component as above, but has a period of supression, so once it goes off it can't proc again for a set period of time and doesn't work out very much. You can probably tell that by looking at the value on the BM.

Once upon a time it didn't have that period of supression I think and was in nearly every build going, but that got nerfed

I do think they need to relook at IOs for masterminds. For the most part most of the sets are garbage except the procs for pets and I dont even slot the whole set for those. Basically for me its the following slotting for ninjas. tier 1 3 Acc/Dam HO, pet defense IO,tier 2 3 acc/dam HO, pet resists IO, -resists debuff IO, lady grey proc, tier 3 3 Acc/Dam IO, 1 lvl 50 Reduce End IO. If the set has a heal I might slot miracle and/or numina depending on the set, maybe a resistance set but for the most part you come out better with HO or SHOs because all those crap stats like 2% debt reduction dont mean **** at level 50

Actually, I looked into it, and in the last patch they made it so pets are NEVER affected by recharge bonuses on their powers.

That's right, FF IO bonus wouldn't effect them. Nether does speed boost, Accelerate Metabolism, anything.

I have no idea why they wanted to make MMs offense (Pets) even more screwed on buffs than other characters (seeing as ours require more buffs to get an equivalent boost compared to other ATs).

But now we can't effectively increase our attack rate at all.

Way to go Devs. Best move ever.

You do know that most MM's are borderline overpowered right?

I think as long as the MM can buff/debuff at an increased speed that will be good enough, and that is how it works at the moment.

I know it might not seem fair, but I don't think it is bad enough to complain about.
