Hey everybody =]
Well actually I'm not new at CoH, but I am on the forum.
I didn't know this forum even exist...

So I have a few toons, but none of them is 50.
It's hard for me understand the game.. My English is not so good so it takes me time to learn even the most simple things.

So actually is there any thread or post with all the English shortcuts? Or game shortcuts. I just don't understand what everyone says.

Welcome to the Freedom server, home to the old Prime server and generally the most interesting server around!

By English shortcuts, are you referring to our acronyms, sayings, or some sort of actual in-game shortcuts?
Which language(s) do you speak, read, and understand?

Huh, you mean abbreviations... well, hrm. I don't THINK there's a post out there that covers it?... If you have questions, ask, and we can certainly answer if we think we know it.

PB = typically short for Peacebringer (a "light" Kheldian, epic archetype class for hero). Or, peanut butter.

PVP = Player vs Player combat, as opposed to PVE (player vs environment) combat.

For general references, you may want to browse the COH Wiki at http://paragonwiki.com - this is a pretty definitive repository of information for the game, powers, classes, events, etc.

Welcome to Freedom. Don't by shy, but bear with us if the language barrier takes a few turns to interpret one of your questions.

It is a RMT... and not kosher by most standards. Essentially, you use the black market, pay someone to level your toon, and they take over your account whilst you are not in game... and play your accounts.

Bad things can result from doing this, as they have control of your account.

He might also be referring to farmers in that they'll get you up to whatever level at the cost of a certain amount of inf (i.e. "money (not real)").

Your opinions on farmers may vary.

Ah, yes, I had forgotten AE is used for that. Can't imagine why I forgot, but, hey.
To the OP: you are looking for AE buildings which are in very nearly every zone. AP (Atlas Park, one of the two starter zones) seems to be the one most powerleveling folks hang about.

Atlas Park would be the one with a white-house looking central area that has a fellow holding a globe as a lawn ornament.

If this is your first time playing the game, you're better off doing the first 20-40 levels on your own to get a feel for gameplay. The last thing we need is a PL'd noob. No offense. I say this for your protection, we'd eat you alive here for it.

(We WILL take your money however.)

Anyone knows how do i get the Day Jobs Badges?
"Spend some time logged off in a train station..."
I need to get to the train station and exit the game?.. Or be afk? Didn't get it..
What do I need to do to earn all those badges?

Ah, a Wiki question. What's not included in the quote (but is mentioned on the main page) is that earning a badge for this takes 21 days of "offline time" in that location.

Let's say you want the Hero Day Job badge "Caregiver", which rewards you as you earn time with an "out of combat regeneration" buff. All you have to do is enter a Hospital, then log out. When you log back in, the time from your previous logout to now is tallied and added to your badge count.

A common misconception is that you have to REMAIN logged out for the full 21 days to get the badge. This is the fastest way to do it, but hardly necessary for casual badging/buff gathering. You only play a few hours a day, at most. The rest of that time is spent logged out, which will net you the badge nearly as fast.

The tally is permanent as well; so, if you've done half the work for Hospital, but the next time you log out in a graveyard instead, you haven't lost your Hospital tally, it's just not progressing. Just go back to the Hospital interior on your next log out, and it'll pick up where it left off.

More detailed information is found here. Bolding the pertinent bits, but you'll want to read the entire entry.

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Day_Jobs

Quote:
Introduced with Issue 13, the Day Job system allows characters to log out from a specific location, like a Hospital or Vault Reserve facility, and gain a temporary power or other benefit when they return to play after an extended period offline. Prolonged offline time in each Day Job is also worth Badges. All benefits granted by Day Jobs, other than badges, are temporary and expire after a certain amount of play time or number of uses. However, each time a character logs out from a Day Job area, the corresponding benefits are replenished.

There are Day Job Recruiters in Atlas Park, Galaxy City, and Mercy Island who give a brief overview of the Day Job system, some examples of badges and their log-out locations, and an even more brief overview of the Day Job Accolades.

You need to go to the location that awards a day job and exit the game. You get awarded credit towards that job for as long as you are logged out.

Here is a link to the Paragon Wiki Page explaining it: Day Job Basic Overview

And here is a list of the available Day jobs and what bonuses you get from them: Day Job Powers

I hope that helps!

Edit: Beat to the answer by Turg =P

I'm waiting for the complex mechanical questions involving the analysis and powerset comparisons so that I can actually have a turn giving a really fun answer. I really wanna make Turg's eyeballs fly out of his head with an explanation of average recharge contribution of non-perma AM and Hasten (used either independently and simultaneously) or comprehensive comparative analysis of survivability or damage capability for a full suite of powersets.

Just THIS made my eyeballs fly outta my head! >.< O.O >.<

I'm kinda new to Freedom too, but welcome!!! I'm a refugee from another server and have been playing redside here since last August. I LOVE DIS PLACE!!! Forgot what it was like to be able to find teams. Especially redside (which is what I play 99% of the time on Freedom)! I hated redside on my other server... very few people... very few teams.... was boring soloing all the time (although I did it for a while because I babysat my grandkids). Took me 4 years to get 1 vill and 4 hero 50's there... I've gotten three here since August (and NOT by farming!).

So welcome to Freedom!!! I'm sure you'll love it here! Ignore the *******, because they can often overshadow the really good people.

Copy/pasting from one of Arcanaville's old posts doesn't make your smarter, Umbral.

*pops some dramacorn*

(You know, we should stay on topic for Forensic's thread. Let's be surprisingly productive and responsible here.)
