How possible is it, with set bonuses and such to make an invul. scrapper reach tanker level resistance and, if it is possible, roughly how expensive would it be to do so ( in know the market fluctuates...just askign for a rough estimate)

The Invuln Scrapper will always be 25% worse, regarding the resistance and defensive numbers, than the Invuln Tank...assuming they are built the same way.

However, this changes when the Scrapper and Tanker reach the resistance and defensive caps.
Tanks resistance caps out at 90% compared to the Scrappers 75% resistance cap...making the Scrapper 16.6% worse than the Tank.

They can be equal, in terms of defense, if their defense is at the soft-cap (45%)...although it is extremely easier for a Tank to reach those numbers.

The actual answer to your question: No, a scrapper cannot reach tanker level resistance.

For actual damage resistance, flat-out impossible.
1) You start at a numerical disadvantage.
2) Damage resistance is not a common set bonus.
3) Tanker resistance can go up to 90%. A scrapper stops at 75% no matter what.

However, can you make an invuln scrapper as 'tough' as some types of tanks? Yes. You can get huge amounts of defense from set bonuses. I have my ice and shield tanks close to 50% defense and my dark tank at about 30%.

As a starting point, you'll want Tough, Weave, Combat Jumping and the Steadfast Protection +defense unique. After that, off the top of my head (I don't usually build for defense so not an expert at it), I think you'd need 250 million+ to reach 'tank durability'.

P.S. If you want to hear from experts, post in the Tanker section.
