Having a sad
'They told me you had been to her,
And mentioned me to him:
She gave me a good character,
But said I could not swim.
He sent them word I had not gone
(We know it to be true):
If she should push the matter on,
What would become of you?
I gave her one, they gave him two,
You gave us three or more;
They all returned from him to you,
Though they were mine before.
If I or she should chance to be
Involved in this affair,
He trusts to you to set them free,
Exactly as we were.
My notion was that you had been
(Before she had this fit)
An obstacle that came between
Him, and ourselves, and it.
Don't let him know she liked them best,
For this must ever be
A secret, kept from all the rest,
Between yourself and me.'
<hugs> Sorry to hear.
I checked and rechecked Google images for the cutest, warmest, most optimistic "Hang in There" poster ever. In the end, I figured you'd appreciate this infinitely more :
great AA kick him while hes down even more =)
( just kidding)
thats bad luck but good news it is eventually gonna be over
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
I like to make people smile even if it's lame :P Which is often.. Ah man, now I'm feeling a bit sad.
Whelps, tomorrow is another day. Send your grandma some love from us.
Just think...if she gets a new hip she'll be bionic.
That's way better than being a plain old gramma any day.
Chin up!
Its true, your grandma could be a bonafied supergranny. If you aren't going to be able to see your grandmum while she's hurt, send her a card. Just think how happy she'll be knowing your thinking about her. Doesn't that help a bit? Maybe? Well, I gave it a shot anyway. Worse comes to worse just go kick a kitten. There's no better medicine than the suffering of others, I say!
Thanks for all the well wishes. We were actually a little scared for a minute there when they told us she was running a temperature and had low blood pressure. I think someone mentioned she may have had a heart attack. Then some genius thought, "ohey, maybe she just needs more blood". ... gotta love doctors.
As a matter of fact, I did send her a card the same day it happened, but before I'd heard. Bonus: inclusion of a picture of her great-grandson. Hopefully she's not still hopped up on painkillers when it gets there!
Good to hear she'll be ok. Grannies are tough these days. Don't ever sass her!
And if your computer is up and running.. Winter Event live today! Come get some candy canes with us. I'll be running teams tonight.
Funny thing, it's the old computer that I was using when I firsted start on CoH. I'm almost shocked that the darn thing runs at least as good as the new one, if not better.
I'd hate to think of the lag I would've seen around the Lord of Winter on the other one.
So.
My wife's facebook game has unofficially killed the video card in my primary computer. Fortunately, it's still under warranty. Unfortunately, since the whole system was an internet order, we have to wait for the tech to call to make an appointment to come out to the house. The call is going to be "some time in the next 2 days". Not that too many people see me/know me... unless I can get the settings turned all the way down so that this one doesn't puke on me, I'll be on a little hiatus.
And as if that isn't bad enough, I've got to figure out how to slave the hard drive so I can get last weeks' college assignment resubmitted. I don't know why the first submission didn't take, but it didn't, and I have a fat little 0 for that week right now. ARGHLEBLEAHEAGLBE!!
And just to ice the cake (in a bad pun sort of way that I didn't realize until after the fact), my grandmother on the north end of the country fell and broke her hip.
So yeah, frustrations ahoy!
