MA/WP IO Build Help

I currently have a MA/WP with IOs on it but I just wanted to make sure that I couldn't do the build better. I love my Acc/Rchg so that's what I went for when I picked the sets I bought. Plus I had to buy within my means. I PvE most of the time and PvP rarely. So when making suggestions, even if it seems overkill for PvE, just put it in anyway.

I am pretty comfortable with my power choices but I'm open to suggestions on that also. But I'm not willing to add a power just to get set bonuses on it. It has to be an useful power. Anyway, here is my build and my current IO sets/Procs.

I like more -tohit in RTTC. If you get it high enough you barely need mind over body, dunno how that would affect pvp, I guess for pvp your slotting is better. You'll be facing more ranged foes and anybody short range would be packing acc to spare. Still if you can find a place to squeeze another slot into RTTC and give it another -tohit enh that'll translate to defence.

The chance for BU in FA is not a good spot, it'll mostly get wasted. better to place it in focus chi. That way if it fires it'll fire when you use it not between attacks. From what i remember it fires but only for a short time, good enough for one attack.

I wouldn't bother enhancing RttC's -ToHit. I don't have Mid's at hand, but IIRC its -ToHit is 3.75% unslotted which translates to roughly 5.5% fully slotted. And that's against even level enemies. Against +2s or even higher the -ToHit doesn't do anything noticeable unless you're very close to the Defense soft cap (40%+ Def).

Look for sets that will give you typed defense bonuses.

4 Eradication and 2 Scirocco's in Dragon's Tail will give you: 1.8% max end, 3.13% E/NE defense, +2.25% max HP (important for WP), and the Sirocco's will net you an extra 10% regen (also important for WP)

3 Aegis in Mind over Body will net you 3.13% Fire/Cold defense.

I'd add a couple more slots to HPT and put 2 Numina's and 3 Aegis on top of the Steadfast Res/Def.

I would take the Fighting pool on this character personally, and slot Boxing to be used. Tough and Weave will increase your survivability quite a bit (WP arguably gets the most benefit out of those two powers) I took Boxing early and replaced Thunder Kick with it.

You should focus on slotting for: Max HP, Regen, Typed Defense (all about equally important)

the_fox_Rox: Removing MoB would drop my S/L Res by 26.7% and my Psionic by 23.7%...That doesn't sound too good. And I already have max slots in RttC. I would add another -toHit but I can only replace the -rchg proc I have in it and I'm a little weary of that. It seems to hit mobs often. I love to see EBs just sit there because their powers haven't recharged. I will change the position of the BU chance proc to Focus Chi though. Thanks for the suggestion.

DSorrow: I have to agree. If anything, I might throw the Numina, Miracle, or RT unique in there to replace the one -tohit enhancement I already have. Thanks for the info.

ClawsandEffect: I'll take those DT, MoB, and HPT suggestions. But as far as taking the Fighting Pool, I don't think so. I already have 5 toggles and I don't see how I can squeeze it in. The only power I would snatch out of my build is Recall Friend. Plus I'm not really a fan of the Fighting pool. I don't know why but I just haven't taken a liking too it since I've been playing the game. Kick was funny but that's about it. Thanks for the suggestions.

All in all, I love all the suggestions. I know that I can frankenslot my other attacks for other +Def bonuses but I really don't like losing my Acc/Rchg. Just taking fox_Rox's suggestion on Dragon's Tail hurts a little but I kinda like the return. But I think once I make these little changes, I will be totally happy with what I have.

I also have a MA/WP character who is still in his early 30s, but my targeted build looks like the following. From the looks of your build, are you trying to avoid the ridiculously overpriced Kinetic combats (I remember when they were cheaper ), or is your focus more about recovery and regen ?

I never thought of Kinetic Combat because it doesn't contain bonuses I want. I am going for Acc/Rchg. Recovery and Regen are great also but I hate to miss and love to fire off as many powers as I can, as often as I can.

I don't do bad at all with in battle now. I just wanted to see if I could squeeze out a little more performance and maybe get some suggestions on things I might have overlooked. I got both and now I am happy. I just have a couple uniques to get and I am set.
