Storage bins can be "hidden" in created walls (built with stacked desks, cabinets, etc) just leave the front chest area sticking out for access. Also, you can fill in a square in the room using the floor/ceiling level adjuster and "slide" the racks into it, again leaving only the front case sticking out.

Alternatively, you could just use the arcane salvage racks instead.
