Drops in PvP.
WAIT A MINUTE
there's drops in PVP?
I have friends that PvP and get the dual bonus PvP drops. They offer a PvE bonus, but in a PvP zone you'll get a 2nd PVP bonus in addition. I'm usually the squishy that provides those drops to the uber players. so i can't confirm 1st hand, other than i can varify they drop from player defeats....lol, usually my defeat. (ppl owe me many thanks) i can't varify a timer limit, never got a pvp drop.
You only have a chance to get a drop (it's something like 1 in 100 or 1 in 200) if you get rep off the kill (the rep timer is 5 minutes). Once you get a drop, you are unable to get another drop for 10 minutes. In short, don't expect any drops in the course of normal play.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Aaah, I see. Thanks.
Or since the drop rate doesn't support proper braggery, you can get one from the black market and then carry it in your inventory so when you get a particularly good kill you drag it into broadcast and make it seem that much better.
I've run one hero 0-400 rep and another 0-250 rep and it's been dry except for 1 night where I got 2 drops.
Someone has told me recently that drops in PvP work differently than in PvE. I was previously under the impression that there is a chance to get a drop whenever you kill another player regardless of anything (killing the same target consecutively, time between kills, etc). Now the one thing I know is that once you get a drop, there's a count down timer like 30 minutes or something before you get a chance at another drop. But aside from that, is there really any difference? Does killing the same target more than once in a row not give you chance at drops? Also, you CAN get drops in the Arena, too. Right?
Thanks in advance for the replies.
