I want to arena with My Energy Melee/Electric Armor Brute

I'm planning on IO'ing out my brute for arenas mainly, pretty much all around pvp actually. Anyways, I want to challenge another brute to the arena, for RP purposes, the other brute is SS/Elec and is IO'd out, I was wondering if there is anyway I can beat him, being /elec and me being em/ I know I'm at a disadvantage already, but is there a way?

go go on the damage procs.
and take taunt, in case he doesn't have it.
if he doesn't have taunt (because this sounds like "that kind of" duel (avatea is watching me)), there is no reason you should lose if you keep him taunted and range him while your heavy hitting EM attacks recharge.
