You should be fine, but if you rely on time cards to play, you'll have trouble finding them there apparently. Go internets! for that one. Or Go credit card! as an alternative.
Some places in that area apparently have some filtering, but I don't know if the Phillippines is one of them.

As long as your internet connection is good you should have no problems.
Me and my wife both play from Italy with no problems after playing a year and a half in Utah. My brother in law plays in Japan after starting his account in texas. We've all updated our account info and had no problems in game or with the accounts.
Our subscriptions are all on auto-charge to our credit cards to make things easier, but as long as you have a way to get time cards that is by no means required.
Remember if you use a credit card to play, the credit card's listed address for the user must match the country you're in when you buy a new subscription. This happened to me when I went on holiday to Hong Kong only to have my sub run out and I couldn't buy a new sub until I got back to England, haha. 
Of course, when you go there, you can always update locations or apply for new credit cards. :3

Family is possibly being transferred to the Philippines next year. Am I still going to be able to play if I'm overseas? I remember playing with a great group of Australian players but I'm not sure if they weren't logging across a few ponds...
