Just wondering if you guys could take a look at my blasters PvP build that I planned. If im honest im no expert when it comes to IO sets so they probably arent perfect.

A couple of things jumped out at me at a glance, but I do not claim to know everything about the best build for PvP, so you'll want a second opinion:

- Your HP is 2003 (more if you have the usual accolades active), but as a blaster it is capped at 1606. You will want to drop some of the set bonuses you have for "increase HP" and focus on getting more global accuracy

- I'd consider putting Obliteration set in the nuke at lvl 32 instead of Eradication

- your KB protection is 9pts, which means you'll be flopping around like a fish out of water. With Diminishing Returns, try to slot for 41pts of KB protection (using the Karma, Blessing of the Zephyr, and Steadfast Protection procs)

- for Hoarfrost, take out 2 of the Numina's and replace with 2 Miracles. For hibernate, also replace Numina with Miracle. You might want that extra recovery vs the regen since you have a self heal. Even if you get low on health, you'll need the endurance to activate Hibernate

- See if you can squeeze in Rectified Reticle: +perception anywhere for those invisible buggers. You already have Tactics, but it may or may not be enough

That build doesn't have Super Speed, doesn't have any perception outside of Tactics, doesn't have Boost Range (!?!?!??!?), and has Fireball. In short, it's not very good.

i modified the build to have the rectified reticle, so fixed that. as for boost range, by the time i've hit all my buffs the target is out of range and i used it less and less as i played it more, so i dropped it. as for fireball, i do a lot of team pvp and a common tactic for my foes is to attack my teammate while a stalker AS's him so the targeted AoE interrupts that. As for no SS, my teammate is usually a kin so i get SB often. You say the build isnt very good, but it works for me. The build might not be good for everyone else, but I just posted it to give the original poster and idea about the KB protection, not have it critique by you.

As others have said that build is way out of wack. No KB protection, no real global recharge, way too much +HP. Slotting is way off. Inferno is a waste anymore. Bone smasher you really don't need because of its low damage in melee range. (Total focus is the way to go now) Power boost is pretty useless as well unless you have aid self. Power thrust you want slotted for KB. Kinetic Crash works perfect for it.


This is about what I'd shoot for if I was building a Fire/EM. Not cheap, but you can sub out some of the PvP Io's with whatever you like. The 4 in Total focus especially can be 4 Mako's (Acc/Dmg, Dmg/End, Quad, and the Chance for Lethal Proc) easily.

No offense, but telling a blaster not to take SS on a build because you happen to have a pocket Kin at all times is really bad advice. That blaster is asking to be farmed the second he gets any kind of -jump outside your specific team set up. It'd be one thing if you told the guy "Listen, Skip the snipe you don't need it" Its a power you can get away with not taking. But super speed, that kind of glaring omission really should be pointed out. Also, if you wanted to stop stalker AS. Rain of fire >>>>>>>>>>> than Fireball. 15 second window of AoE versus a 1 second burst is a no brainer. And no Boost range!? That'd be another glaring omission. Put that power on Auto its easily Perma. The reason they are running out of range is likely because you are still trying to hit 4 buffs when you only need two. Aim and build up (With BR on auto). With DR the way it is powerboost is pretty useless.

It may work for you, but it could work much much much better.

I never said don't take SS, I merely explained why I personally don't have it.

Okay, we can understand why you build how you do - but you just threw that build into the thread without any qualifications as to why you built that way. Usually if you're going to throw up an oddball build you should say why.
