Quick AE Ticket Opinion (Level 10-14 Rolls)

Just dinged 50 on my dom, and figured for once instead of immediately moving on to other characters I'd run some AE content, generate a few tickets and roll some recipes.

One of the last things I need on that toon is to grab four recipes from the Basilisk set, which aren't the cheapest to come by (I could use some from Cloud Senses and Shield Breaker on my MM too). Would it make any sense to roll some recipes in the 10-14 range, as opposed to rolling another range and just using the profits to buy the recipes outright? Given that Silver:Bronze is a 7.5:1 ticket ratio, what might be a sensible Silver/Bronze mix to go for (I'd probably leave Gold for rolling with Merits)?

Thanks, and apologies if this has been covered already in other threads.

Something to look at...

I'm not sure I'd recommend rolling silver at all. The problem with Silver is that it gives you rare pool A+B, and there are a lot of rare pool Bs that are total junk on the market. At least at higher levels, you end up with what I'm pretty sure is a lower average value for a much higher ticket cost per roll.

I know two of the pieces are in pool B. You might be OK rolling in the 10-14 level range. I haven't looked at what the recipe overlap is for sets in that range. I know it was pretty attractive to roll pool A in that range just because Basilisk's was in there, but I'm less sure about pool B.

Yeah, that's what I was worried about.

And that's part of my problem. From the wiki, it looks like the Acc/Hold and Acc/Rech are Pool A, one of which I have and the other which I wasn't looking for. Silver would give a chance for Rech/Hold and End/Rech/Hold, both of which I had planned on slotting. Just a 2-in-73 chance of getting either though, so realistically I'm still probably faced with getting them on the BM.

If you are after a Pool A rare it is better to roll Bronze.

The large price differential of the bronze and silver makes the ticket per Pool A costs less via bronze, based upon the rare/uncommon ratio seen from extensive testing.

Yep - unfortunately it looks like I'm not after Pool A, but Pool B. But, it may make sense just to roll Pool A in order to more efficiently get the funds to buy the Pool B's that I need. That is, assuming they are actually being generated elsewhere. Probably just have to pony up.

The pool Bs can be relatively cheap as recipes, as they're being generated a lot more often than the As. I've picked up a small handful redside, level 30, in the last few weeks for bids between 1 and 2 million. Even the As have shown up that cheap occasionally. (And the crafted Bs have been spiking higher than crafted As last I checked!)
