Claw/SR decision

After discussing with a couple posts on the matter and looking at my own build, i've been having a dilemma. On the Claw/SR build I have.

There are a couple slots to allocate to get certain results, the differences are:

Build 1:

Melee: 45.7%
Ranged: 45.7%
AoE: 45.7%

Regeneration: 173.4% (bonus)
Regeneration with/if slotting health boosts uniques: 216.9% (bonus)

Max HP: 133.1%

7% accuracy (probably unnecessary with follow up perma and FA, unless maybe when fighting +4s)

Focus stats: ACC: 59.64%
Dam: 98.58%
End: 59.64%
Rech: 59.64% (2.96s)

bout 300mil cheaper

Build 2:

Melee: 45%
Ranged: 45%
AoE: 44.8%

Regeneration: 197.4% (bonus)
Regeneration with/if slotting health boosts uniques: 240.9% (bonus)

Max HP: 135.4%

Focus stats: ACC: 60.91%
Dam: 97.55%
End: 49.18%
Rech: 82.46% (2.86s)

As to the regeneration. Bonuses on top of slotted health, it takes 220% regeneration to heal a tic every 3 seconds. So if slotting health boosts the uniques, i "quite" won't reach that with build 1. However, with build 2, i'll reach that, and have about 20% over it, which might take care of a couple inconsistencies where you "count in your head faster than actual time goes" so itll help solidify that it feels like an actual every 3 seconds.

So build 1 is true capped defenses, even amounts to all 3 types, with a little over to account for a rare debuff that would hit such as in Cimerora.

Build 2 has more regeneration, a slight bit more HP 26.14% - 24.87% (about 1.27% resistance to all damage types difference). Much pricier of a cost however, why i don't know because the 2 purples i'm using, apparently went up in price since AE died, (wasn't it supposed to be the other way around??? GRRRRRRR!)

But tis the facts. Input?

Wellvwithout really seeing both builds and just going by those stats, I'd probably go with build 1. But my highest priority on a SR is a softcap defense and anything below that is just unacceptable...

Well it is softcapped to melee/ranged, and only .2% under for aoe, but the other leaves some little bit over for all in the case of a debuff, which would be so rare that it would make any difference is it worth it over the good deal extra regen, max hp. Which will help more the rare hits that do get through. Also one of the big reasons i considered this at all, is while leveling, build 2 frees up a slot that I can put for a 2nd recharge in practiced brawler. For the love of all that is holy it bugs me that PB isn't perma with at least its base slot. Build 1 only can 1 slot it, which "when" i get enough bonuses should be enough, but my is it annoying leveling up (I dont respec).

In the end, I don't think there is a drastic difference between the two, so if the money is an issue I'd say Build 1.

In Build 2 you are all but soft-capped to all three positions, and anything you do take your regen should swallow and burp. That rech is nice, too.
And as I heart regen, my vote falls there from a purely academic standpoint.

(Now, whether this response is meaningful or not....)

In both builds your practiced brawler is perma, so I'm not really sure why you need 2 slots in your second build.

He doesn't want to respec, and leveling up you need the second slot in PB until you get set bonuses rolling.

I'd suggest using a plain old SO build and slot IOs into a second build. Technically it's not respec'ing but still a pain if you shop along the way to 50.

I truly prefer the Achilles's Heel proc in Slash and that would throw a bit of a wrench into your build.

I currently have a similar if not cheaper build. I have plans to respec when I get my 60 month vet reward so I can keep fly without having to take air sup and add in physical prefection. plus change some sets around. I understand my current build is only at 93% DDR but I'm OK with that. My planned build is at home but I do have my current live build.

Basically, I don't prioritizes Regen and Recharge very highly, mostly as I'm perfectly happy with my performance as I'm not soloing AVs and pylons. When you are basically using every slot in a build, every change will have a trickle down effect, lose Melee defense here, so add it over here, and lose something else. On the other hand, when money isn't a hurdle you can have the best of everything.

Aye ozmeth, i don't want to respec. I start putting the majority of my IOs in at 35. The pos blast set, and one 7.5% global puts the rech at like 117, not quite safe enough till a 2nd 7.5% down to about 113. However, that's not counting in slows, attack chain hiccups etc. Why the 2nd slot in it is always good. Build 1 has more recharge, and likewise, just forgot about the lotg, so build 1 is only about 100 mil cheaper, not 300 mil.

On that note though, it gets really close for the decision. Might go the regen, cause he used to be a claw/regen before remaking him. So having a regeneration rate of 1tic/3seconds would be kinda an ode to what he was. I won't really need the recharge much of build 1 either. It is alluring having exactly 45.7% defense to all 3 positions, my OCD likes that lol. Plus it allows for a little bit of a debuff on you.

As to your build jax. Eviscerate is WAY too late, my guys is like 28 now, already got it, its one of the reasons I decided to remake the claw/regen, who didn't have it. Also, tough/PP were big for me to do this build, couldn't lose those. And far too few regen for me.

Either of my builds 1 or two, i could have some fun probably literally running without my defense toggles. As i'd have that high regen, scaling resistances, added to tough, and have about 25% defense to start, with a couple knockdowns. I can put the toggles on when the crap hits the fan lol. Would make my regen fun to watch as i fight then :P

This is probably close to what I would level up with if I were starting over. Perhaps I would swap CJ and Spin t have an AoE attack earlier. I could see taking another single target attack instead of Evis and using ToD to keep my melee def up. I'm curious to find out if would have enough end recovery with Spin and Evis slotted as they are for my style of play.

Should specify, needs to be between one of the two builds posted. It WILL have FA/PP, kick/tough in the 40s in that order, and will not skip any attacks or defense or fitness/cj either. the only thing budgeable somewhat is the slots and few IOs presented between the two. FYI just about to ding 29 so anything before that is folly either way as well.
