Active Enhancement Slots
This is a complicated answer.
Enhancement percentages are reduced when you exemplar down. However the number of Set IOs that count toward enabling a bonus are affected by level (unless they are purple extremely rare Level 50 IOs). Once you are more than three levels below it's level, it is no longer considered to be part of a set.
Try reading this (ParagonWiki: Exemplar Effects on Enhancements), it's a lot more comprehensive than anything I can relate (I'm not a big Set IO guy myself).

Affected? Yes, but not the way the first paragraph suggests.
I was told that slots are affected by your level when your exempted down. I dont remember that being the case before, I thought that if the power was active all slots where active that where available for that power.
so is that true that slot levels are affected when exempted.? |
Let's say you take a power at level 4 and add additional slots at levels 7, 11, 15, 23 and 42. If you exemplar from level 50 to level 6, the power will keep all six slots. The level at which you added each slot does not matter. The order of the enhancements in the slots does not matter.
Now, having six slots of high level enhancements would make your character DRAMATICALLY more effective than someone who is really level 6. Therefore, the EFFECTIVENESS of each enhancement is reduced. (Math involved, Father Xmas provided the relevant link, blah, blah, blah

TL;DR version: The level and order you add slots doesn't matter.

Hello all, its been a while but its good to see a new cleaner forum. Looking forward to contributing to help make CoX better. As I get back up to speed ill be looking forward to addressing a lot of issues that I believe have kept CoX from hitting the 2.5 million mark I thought they would hit when I first started playing the game.
Ok now to the problem at hand.
I was told that slots are affected by your level when your exempted down. I dont remember that being the case before, I thought that if the power was active all slots where active that where available for that power.
so is that true that slot levels are affected when exempted.?
If so, I noticed when I respec-ed that when you slot your powers the new slots take the first spots so if I 6 slot a power is the lower level slot really the 6th slot not the first?
To make this easier for people that like to have certain sets at certain levels for TFs ect. There should be an option to see the slot levels so I know what Im slotting at what level. The ideal situation would be if I have a 50 and ex down if the power is avail I should have all my slots cause I worked to get to 50 and I deserver to be a little stronger. It also encourages players to get to 50 even if its just a pvp Character. Case being the deference between a 35 pvp-ing a 50 ex. To 35 is the ex character is a little stronger cause he has more slots avail. Obviously this is all based on the answer to the two questions.
