Need some design advice from the pros
Okay to help you out. I have discovered that for me it is easyer to decorate some as you go and build from the ground up. If you try and do ALL of your decorating in the end then some things are just harder to place and you end up with a headache. That is the best that I can tell you though come to my tour next week and perhaps you can get some more ideas for your base.

Thank you Sidhe. It actually does make sense to put some decorations in when I still have my risers in place.
Enjoy your day please.
I typically finish the structure first and then decorate but it is more work that way. I do it just because it is easier for me to visualize the look of a room when there is a room, and I rarely have a complete design in mind when I start. Mostly it is just a matter of 'I want the room to look like this and I want these few things in it' and then I move those things around for best effect and fill in what's left where necessary.
OK, so I have caught the building bug and have been experimenting with different stacking techniques. In the end I have blocked off one of my Hallways with a room which you can sort of see here.

Ultimately I have a vision of a CoT library in one of their underground lairs. My question is do I build my structures and then add all of my additional decorations or slowly build from the ground up?
Does that make any sense?
Hopefully the photo shows up. Not much there, just an experiment that I really don't want to make go away.
Thanks in advance for your help, Bashful Banshee.
Oops, that wasn't the right picture. This should be it.
Sorry about that.
Enjoy your day please.
