Hi, I recently joined redside pvp... I am a long time hero pvper and maybe you might know me as Death Perfectionist (spines/regen scrapper)
So i made a fire/psi dom a while back for farming purposes, but i recently tried to pvp wit him...as u can imagine i failed miserably. This is the build im using please critique it and tear it up for pvp purposes... I like to pvp mostly in zone (RV particularly)

Ignoring the enhancements since that's not my specialty, first thing that stands out is you should take either phase or leadership instead of medicine. And probably hibernate too, instead of PFF.

Also make sure you have all the +HP accolades.

Going from a regen scrapper to a dom is probably one of the hardest transitions to make. The former is arguably one of the easiest things in the game. The latter only becomes playable if you spend like 10 billion on it.

Others have claimed that it's the one AT that absolutely requires a huge investment, and I would agree. I've got an SO'd dom, and it's a complete joke. Meanwhile my SO'd corr does perfectly fine, as do my stalkers, tanks, scrappers, etc.

Fire Psi is harder - a much better farmer than pvp dom build these days but max is 100% correct. You want + hp +dmg and perception. You also want hibernate and a resistance sheild - the def sheilds in epic are poo poo. Concentrate on your single target holds and the stun, flashfire..with dom up you can stun for longer (since you have no pboost). Also concentrate your dmg on your ranged atks. Since holds only hold for a short time now a dom and melee range is a bad mix.

fire/psi is an exception to the ranged damage rule. a fire/psi's heavy hitters are all in melee. you basically start off with those and back off allowing your ranged damage to finish off a target.

on a fire/psi, you're gonna want to concentrate on getting that tk-thrust in right after your target is held. it's sick damage and a decent knockback on squishies. your slotting there is adequate. you also want the acc to land that (since it includes a smashing dmg component), so you definitely need leadership and a bit of acc in your build.

besides that, purple set in the imps is totally worth it.
mental blast / subdue should have a crapload of procs, and mind probe should be well slotted.

if you still decide to go /mace, you need to invest as many slots as possible in poisonous ray. the damage that thing goes is simply obscene + you can KS the whole zone with it easily. i used to slot mine with a lady gray proc, and achilles heel and 4 devastations back in when i ran /mace on my fire/elec and mind/fire doms.

Hey guys thanx for the responses. I know that hiber wouldve been the smarter choice but i honestly do not like that power. I would rather phase or pff and high-tail out of the battle rather than go into hiber for like 30 sec while the heroes line up gettin ready to kill me as soon as i emerge. Barrier you are Suicide Jag right? You helped me alot when i was building Death Perfectionist, you also taught me to marketeer

I try to avoid purples and PvP IO's as much as possible because i have the attention spam of a squirrel lol, i could never hold out long enough to save 1billion dollars just on one IO
