Tornado tends to get it in things other than Thugs (due to necessity), but because it doesn't impact any other potential slotting in Gang War then that is the choice for Thugs.
The only reason to consider it in Tornado and not Gang War are potential set bonuses.
I'm mostly concerned with having the Uniques bonuses out as much as possible (AKA the + def and res for pets from the uniques).
Unless i'm mistaken Tornado has a 60 sec recharge time with a 30 sec duration, making it close to perma with some decent slotting and set recharge bonuses i imagine.

I thought the uniques worked even if the pet wasnt summoned?

I've got defence / resistance uniques slotted into soul extraction on my necro/FF and necro/poison MMs. The uniques function 100% of the time, whether soul extraction is ever summoned or not.

Heya folks, i'm thinking of slotting the Uniques from the Recharge Intensive Pets sets in my Tornado on my Thugs/Storm MM (the other option would be slotting them in Gang War).
Any opinions, suggestions?
