Update, Broke Updater !!

Pretty much as the title says... here's what happened...

1) Tried to loggon to CoX
2) Notified me there was another bloody patch, again!
3) Closed, and ran updater
4) Updater downloaded tiny patch and started to verify 2.9G files
5) Error to do with pigg files flashes up
6) Updater closes
7) Ran updater again, says dowloading file manifest
8) Said this for ages so I took doggie a walk
9) 30 mins later now says "fixing files" at an increadibly slow rate
10) 1/2 way through closes upater, didn't finish.
11) Updater did same thing 3 times over and used up about 2 hours of my night
12) Uninstalled Coh
13) Copied Coh folder from program files on my other pc that patched fine
14) Pasted into program files on first pc
15) Still nothing
16) Updater now says downloading file manifest
17) There is no activity, no download and no way to enter game
18) left it "downloading" overnight
19) nothing has changed this morning
20) I'm p*ssed off !

Not sure if this will help but, when I had this happen to me it turned out I had a memory stick go bad. Swaped it out and all was good.

I fear that Downloading File Manifest problems may be due to your ISP. When I switched from Demon to Be, all issues I had completely disappeared, and file manifests download faster than I can read. All I can tell you is, give it time.

You could also try changing the port CoH uses, but I don't know how you would do that.

It's worth using the NCSoft diagnosis tool jobby to test out your internet, too.

Thought about ISP as we are having huge ISP issues atm...
Connection just now is 0.19 Mb/sec :O !!!!!


But everything works fine on my 2nd PC and it updated perfectly fine.
