Updater does not display anything
It also appears to be "broken" on my system as well, in Windows XP.
Strangely enough it appears to be OK if you go to that page in an ordinary browser, which for some reason spun up my optical drives.

I've seen that issue come and go. Seems to be random for me. Even with the same version it will display some times, but be blank other times. Then highlighting something makes it reappear. Like Father Xmas, I have the actual page bookmarked as well and reference it as needed. Most times I just skip past the updater anyway.
None of my optical drives spin up while accessing the page though. Is that repeatable for you, Father Xmas?
Nope, probably XP decided it needed to refresh the drive list for some reason.

Thanks for the link. I didn't know about it
Well I dove the CoH registry entries to find it.

My updater does not show anything in the "display" area. For example, I cannot read patch notes while the game is patching.
Otherwise the updater works perfectly.
The weird thing is that I had almost the exact problem on my old computer. The only thing in common is that they us ATI graphics cards.
On old machine (PC):
* Updater was all black, displaying nothing in the "display" area.
* If I moved another window over the "display" area, I could then see it. I had to "brush" the area using another window.
On new machine (iMac in MacOSX):
* Updater window is all white.
* The "brush" trick does not work on Mac as it protects the application display from other applications.
My pet theory is that they use double buffering and forgets to do a redraw after it is done, but as I have not heard of anyone else with this problem, I wonder.
Have anyone else seen this?
Is there something I can do about it?
I *do* have all the latest updates.
