No merits from hami raid
The merits are given if you strike a hit on the hamidon on the final bloom. If you don't get a hit on him, you get nothing.

You also have to be there when he dies. If you're not, you get nothing.

As for the petition, you more than likely won't get anything, but it can't hurt to try.

Yeah, unfortunately, I agree that it's not likely to turn up merits for you. I wish it didn't work like that. For what it's worth, it's basically the same thing with stuff like TF/SFs, too - if you aren't online when it completes, you don't get the completion reward.

But it's possible someone will root around and determine you were there doing things, so I don't want to dissuade you from trying the petition route.

I submitted a petition and got back the standard 'elevated to a senior GM' reply, so we'll see what happens. I've got my fingers crossed.
I took part in the Hami raid on freedom last night. I participated for roughly 2 hours, and then my computer decided it was going to freeze about a minute and a half before we killed hami for the final time. I didn't get back in before he died, and I got nothing for my efforts. I sent a petition hoping that I could still get the merits somehow. Anyone know if this has any chance of working? Anyone tried it before?
