new build on the bottom with many responses that help me realize there is not much need for LotG global recharge.

I've never been able to justify the cost of LOTG +Rech on any toon other than a Stoner or permadom. You can easily get by with Hasten and then sticking 4 Basilisk Gazes in Petrifying Gaze and Web Cocoon that you can drop Assault and Tactics for. You can add in a Commanding Presence: Taunt/Plac Res if you need it instead of taking a power for it. The need for recharge comes in when you fight AVs and need to stack the to hit debuffs and the recharge debuffs and need web envelope to keep em in your tar patch. Otherwise, yeah, you're not going to need the recharge much since the main attack chain for a 0/8 farm recharges in time for the next spawn.

Some of those powers like Gang War doesn't need the frankenslotting, just the +Def and +Res IO from recharge intensive pets. Heck, you don't even need the recharge in it if you don't want it. Gang War is an alpha soaker and a vehicle for those 2 special IOs, nothing more. Got it right on with frankenslotting Tar Patch and Dark Servant though, those 2 are probably the only powers in a Thugs/Dark build that need it. You could then fill out some of the other powers for the full set bonuses of the IOs instead.

You went overboard with the Numina in there, not that there's anything wrong with it, I just cringe at expensive IOs being used on builds that just kick butt and forget names without any need for it If I pulled something like that, my melee toons would beat up my MM and steal the IO while I was logged out.

On my Thugs/Dark, I like the recharge for tar patch, howling twilight, gang war and the pet summons, but hasten with max recharge in those powers should be adequate, as the previous poster said. I like gang war and howling twilight a lot.

Well at L32 doing 0/8 missions are a breeze. The only problems I have really had are Rikti, god they are annoying, but when I altered my tactics from the experiences they gave me, I learned how to react better with them. So they became much easier also. I don't have all 4 of the special pet enhancements yet because they seem impossible to find besides the level 50 ones. Once I get those I can already see that it would make a big difference. I have also noticed the higher I get the less my arsonist seems to die, so that is also nice. I seriously Looove my Thugs/Dark way more than my L50 Bots/Traps and it is only going to get better at 38!

According to Mids the accuracy on my Twilight Grasp is 150ish% and it still misses quite a bit on oranges/bosses which is kind of annoying. I even have the kismet +6% accurcy. So I think I will just do the 5 doc wounds and then 1 L50 acc IO to make it higher.

Here is my new build. I made quite a few changes. I also dropped fly. I have no travel power now and will use the 10k jet pack from GV. Why not? It opens up some other choices for me and instead of fly I took empty clips for my own enjoyment and put a full set of Ragnarok. I know a lot of people say taking an attack is a waste, but I took out fly so I don't think it matters much, plus it is a nice cone. I also added +12 points of KB protection since I no longer have hover and took combat jump instead for the Immo protection.

First, while I can understand liking having your own attack, its the slots more even than the power choice that is hurting you. You've got less than 6 slots in ALL of your pets, whether procs, end reduction (not a bad idea, both bruiser and enforcers can blow through end on sustained fights) or something else, you could be doing more SOMETIHNG there.

I don't really suggest provoke, either. Provoke is for tanker-minding. You'd do better with something from teleport, assault, almost anything else, considering that your build isn't within sight of the soft cap.

Fluffy needs reslotting. If you're going to go for straight ToHit you're better off picking one set (I suggest Dark Watcher) for a set bonus. I usually slot four dark watcher and either one heal and a tohit set proc, or two heal.

Personally, theres alot of stuff I'd do differently. You've got provoke with pretty much no defense, even with bodyguard anything significantly challenging would chew through you pretty quickly.

Here's my Thugs/Dark I'm building. I've got alot of the cheaper stuff assembled, the LotGs are just defense IOs, but this build gives great bonuses for fighting at 50 and is more powerful than 95% of the content under that.
