No tips or better ideas but I've considered the same... Maybe pick a few select ones to posterize but get a bunch more picture sized. I was figuring on the photo kiosk myself for those I wanted smaller.
The higher DPI the better at the kiosks. I printed some things out for a portfolio presentation, and it totally BLAHed some of my images.
Just take a USB drive to Kinko's or some similar printing house. When I did this Batman gift art 
for a friend's son, the father took it to Staples/Business Depot and got a glossy 11x17 of it for $1.89.
Just remember: use the highest-resolution/DPI file you have, and preferably something that's uncompressed like a TGA, if you have it, as you may see compression artifacts from a JPG on a print.

I suppose I'll just have to see what happens and risk my precious $2 to see how well it turns out.
The Staples/Office Depot idea is a good one though and I didn't think about it. My wife actually makes use of them for printing birthday invitations and stuff but they never entered my mind for this project. So thanks for the tip.
Well, if you ask, the artists might be willing to send you TGAs. I know I do that if people want, since all I have to do is resave it, zip and email, for the most part.

As I collect various artworks of my characters, it occurs to me that future generations of the Jophiel bloodline should know who my characters were. Since I can't trust my heirs to go on DeviantArt, I need a way of making these images into physical objects.
Ok, actually I just thought it'd be cool to have some actual "pictures" of my pictures. I don't think many of them are in exceptionally high DPI (a few are) but I'm not looking to make posters either but rather 4x6 or 5x7 images. Anyone done this? I'd like something that looked nicer than you get from a $50 Epson inkjet printer so I was thinking of throwing them onto a flash drive and maybe hitting the Kodak photo kiosk at the drugstore or something.
Any tips or better ideas?
