Oh yeah that "mod", I remember Soul Train using it at one time. As for the mesh, it couldn't be helped. I could have done it neater, but I was hating it to begin with... in fact I had to re-render all the skin tones again, which helped with the 3 dimensionality.
These are mostly done in Painter. But I knew the eyes had to be done in Photoshop. So I left the mesh to be done there too... I've looked into mesh looking filters, but they don't wrap naturally, and well it's just faster to do it by hand.
Got another semi-nudish one today... which I drew 2 months ago, and am just now coloring. Thank God slumps don't last forever.
